Still blows my mind that even after he switched to mid last season with West and had a pretty decent season. Even playing out of his mind against MUFC. We still use him as a defender.

His one run out since then, Bob used him as wide midfielder for 30 minutes.

Yea, but he isn't that great of a defender. Either. IMO, he is better in the midfield. If we don't have room for him in the midfield. Don't call him up. Give the call up to a young defender, if a friendly.

I'll even go out on my limb and say if Findley continues to improve. He needs to get a CONCACAF call up.

ETA: After looking back on it, I said last night/early this morning that I think Onyewu would do good against CONCACAF. I may retract that statement. He didn't too to hot in the Gold Cup. I think he played in that first game.

His ceiling is Eddie Johnsonish, but I agree. He CAN just flat out run some of those teams, something that Jozy (usually) can't do.

The only thing concerning with the Costa Rica game is all of our first touches. The majority of the touches were heavy, as frick.

Two more:

We need a poacher.
We need a left back.

I want Jozy to play near a full 90. About 4-5 people should have been subbed out before him last night. I'd kind of like to see him play with Juan even though they have a very similar style.

I'm about to just say frick it and want to play with a 3-5-2.

Just play 3 flat defenders (Chandler, Bocanegra, Cherundolo) and have Brek Shea play as the RWB and Donovan as the LWB.

Jones, Bradley as the Defensive Mids

Torres/Holden as the CAM, Altidore/Dempsey as the FWD

I love Demerit. He has a badass attitude that we need against ankle biting concacaf teams and can still get it done.

I haven't seen much of him since being at Vancouver. The Whitecaps suck so bad.

I don't really think it's debatable that the Caps suck

I dont follow that closely, but what happened to Gooch? Has he just never recovered from that knee injury a couple years ago?
