Lol he wasn’t going to jump Zimmerman, what are you smoking? Long and Zimmerman have both been defender of the year fwiw, and it’s not like Long played a significant role at the WC, and neither would have Miazga. I’m not even sure why people would care, dude was never going to play and comes across as a locker room cancer whereas Long was a “vibes” guy.

Long didn’t even play in Qatar. I wouldn’t have picked him myself, but I also wouldn’t have picked Miazga.

It just amazes me that Gregg turned so many on this board into simps that, not only did they side with Danielle Reyna, but now they are propping up Matt Miazga as someone who should've been in Qatar because he's crying 5 months later that he got screwed.

It amazed me that you mix topics together to try to make some sort of point. GGG sucks and is most probably gone but mainstream soccer media keeps attempting to prop him up. That why Wasserman let the cat out of the bag that the European based players do not want him back. They let the rumors go because mainstream soccer media is being led around by the nose by USSF. Hence the blackmail story that wasn't really blackmail came directly from USSF. Danielle is a symptom of the incestuous relationship inside the federation.
Long hasn't been the same defender that he was prior to his major injury and vibes are no vibes should of not been anywhere near the Cup team.

Can you provide a source for this? There is a difference between wanting a new coach and saying the players didn’t like the coach, which it seems you’re trying to imply. This flies in the face of all available evidence that you have guys like Pulisic, Ream, McKennie, etc talking about the cohesion of the locker room and how good of a job he did bringing the team together. The former two are on record saying they would be cool with GGG coming back (which really shouldn’t happen unless there are no better candidates, imo).

If you're actually defending Danielle and your defense of choice is "well it wasn't technically blackmail" then you're telling on yourself.
There is more than enough corroborated information out there at this point that shows Danielle and Claudio being despicable human beings well before this stupid World Cup drama. Even Gregg's staunchest opponents in the media (Herc Gomez) are against Danielle.

I saw a Reddit post from a guy who claimed to be in the NYRB academy with him. Said he was always a douche but to his credit always said he would make it as a pro. No one believed him because he wasn’t one of the better prospects at that time.
