USMNT best XI regardless of position?

The 11 most talented players while including a goalie ?

Pulisic, Dest, Adams, McKennie, Gio, Musah Pepi, Weah, Brooks, Long, and then either Turner or Steffen.

It actually works out well because you can have starters for every position except for one of the outside backs.

Aaronson too low. Move Brooks down and Miles Robinson up

For this team, Adams is #1. And it's not even close. When Gregggg plays him in his proper position he's an absolute beast. The fact he covers so much ground allows the fullbacks to press higher and create chances like we saw tonight.

Pulisic can be a liability at times because he feels like he has to dribble through 4 defenders at a time and usually loses possession. Once he realizes he doesn't have to be a hero on this team, he'll be unstoppable.

Anyway, here’s the XI I’d trot out against Mexico

ARob-Brooks-Miles-Dest

Then pick between Steffen and Turner. I like the idea of bringing on Weah, Aaronson and whoever else you want to run at tired legs in the second half. The thing is Reyna doesn’t offer much verticality like Weah and I could see him being brought inside and Musah dropped out. Will be interesting to see and hopefully everyone stays healthy.

Maybe if more people thought the coach actually knew who the best players were, it wouldn’t be so needed?

I'm gonna need to see more of Pepi vs quality opponents to determine how good he really is. He seems promising, but I seem to remember everyone being on the Dike train just a short while ago and now he's not ever mentioned.

And is Brooks still one of our best 4 defenders? I'm not saying he isn't...just wanting anyone's opinion as he had a pretty bad game against Honduras.
