I agree. I think they both have separate roles until Cavan gets a bit more experience under his belt.

I also think this window has shown that Alex Freeman is basically undroppable. I really wish Poch would give Musah a run in the midfield and not at wing. For now I think the double pivot of Tillman and Adams is our best setup.

Fair to say Tim Weah was the biggest loser this camp?

I wouldn’t say he’s the biggest loser, I still think there’s a role for him moving forward. but it doesn’t help that not a single time during this break did anyone look up and think “man I wish Weah was playing tonight because of _____”

I’m not sure, but it’s definitely worth the thought. We played a bit more like Poch’s preferred style against Canada, and that’s a style that Weah tends to thrive in. I’d like to see him in there on the right wing when we play like that before I downgrade him entirely. He is 100% on the fringe of being on a WC roster, and maybe the same with a GC/NL roster depending on how Poch sees the team makeup.
Also down are both of the older keepers, if only by the emergence of two guys that have played very well in matches against our two biggest CONCACAF “rivals”… and held clean sheets. There’s a huge competition at that spot now, in my eyes.
