The U.S. will travel to Wembley to face Gareth Southgate's side on Nov. 15, the first meeting between the two sides since their 1-1 draw in their group-stage clash at the 2010 World Cup in South Africa.

Our new manager is going to have some strong opponents right off the bat.

Wife and I will be in London then and hope to make this match. Any worries about England fans or will they be pretty chill? I wouldn’t think there would be much annomosity between the two but not sure.

How hard will it be to get tickets?
Thanks

England fans won’t bother you at all

Just make sure you buy tickets through American Outlaws or USSF to be in the away section

If you get tickets in the home end cheer for the away team you will be tossed out.

I think this is the biggest surprise that those only familiar with the US experience will have. I can be dressed head to toe in Cardinals gear and sit right behind homeplate in Wrigley, doesn't fly over there.

Aside from maybe a few little shite talkin before the game you won’t have any problems. The English and all of Great Britain are big fans of the USA and Americans. They might ask about our politics and have something to say about that but most are pretty cordial and will back off if you give them a shrug like ‘ehh whatcha gonna do?”

It is an England friendly at Wembley so you will not have any trouble. A lot of families go to these kind of games. Very unlikely you will get the hooligan type bothering you if that is what you mean, they will probably still be in Russian jails anyway.

Ironically I will be in the U.S when this is on so will have to find a place to watch there if I can be bothered.

Yeah this will be our first soccer match and didn't know if we'd be harassed wearing USA gear going from downtown London to Wembley and back or hanging out around the stadium. I appreciate the feedback. Sounds like a good time.

You will be fine

I went to the Old Emeny match in 2016 and like 10k Scotsman we’re there

No issues at all on the tube, before the match or anything

We spent our time boozing with the Scotland fans at the pubs

Who is Gareth Southgate? I mean, it's clear he's their gaffer, but what brought him to this point?
