I'm with you and your rational thoughts, Tom. Today was a national disgrace. Every player on this team should be fined and never allowed to wear a US jersey again, even if they buy one from a store.
The US is clearly regressing these past 11 games.

Any true fan of US Soccer knows that the Gold Cup squad is not the same squad as the Brazil squad.
Clearly, you aren't.
Or you are merely trolling.

Yeah, but if he's going to play the "level headed" game then so shall I.
Though if only we could have a player as good as Gareth Bale. Maybe then we could aspire to match the success that is... Wait, you mean that one or two great players doesn't guarantee success or even a WC berth? Shocking.

Llorente couldn't help Spain when we whooped that arse in '09.
Yeah what, bitch? Say something.

Stu was in a good mood but limping at the medal stand. Onyewu, Herc, and I think Ashe joined the team.

I'm glad we won, but some of our play was a let down. We have serious trouble with teams that bunker, especially when we insist on playing Donovan as a striker. When he plays between the lines he makes things happen, as he's the best player we have with the ball at his feet. As a striker looking to end moves, he's limited to a few touches. When he's the facilitator of moves, we play much better. We lacked real fluidity in this respect.
This is a small gripe, as we played really well this tournament. Our movement for the most part was very good and we've moved so far forward in terms of the technique of our players. Hopefully we can carry this good form into Brazil.

You need to smuggle Julian Green outta Munchen so we can cap his arse.

2 out of the 3 last WC's we've gotten out of the group stage. Last WC we lost in extra time to Ghana who had a great team. What are you expecting exactly? The U.S. play against teams that put 9-10 behind the ball and force us to swing balls in or hit long shots. We had 75% of possession and had some good chances and kept panama pretty much completely off the offensive end. Why are you doom and gloom over this game when half the roster won't even be on the team come WC time?

I agree we didn't play as smoothly this game, but most teams in the world struggle against as dedicated a bunker as this We did a good job being disciplined and not giving them too many counters or dumb set pieces. Finally, most of our bunker breakers, namely Bradley and Dempsey, weren't playing.
Also where's GAM in the picture?
