Becjerman has been money but he has also taken zero risks. Iits not that hard to switch fields and keep possession without ever looking forward

Beckerman has improved since the opening minutes of the game it's just frustrating in a game like this bc his skillset isn't designed to breakdown bunkering defenses. If we have Bradley play his position we probably have two goals.

Or a competent attacking right back, jeez I feel like I'm watching an arsenal game where the opponent bunkers and forces every offensive movement to go through sagna

I feel like I've underestimated Juergen's influence being on the pitch sideline. This is getting irritating.

me too... thought Stu's injury alone would have warranted at least 2 or 3

He may not be the best tactician, but he's a lot better than anyone else we have.

Well, he's played like 3 nice long balls, but yeah he clearly does spend a lot of time passing the ball sideways and backwards.

It's more about the little things he does IMO. He's constantly moving to find space so he's always available for a pass if other players are getting pressured. Also breaks up play well.

This is his level. He's a good Gold Cup player/borderline squad player in big competitions.

Corona has looked pretty fricking amazing IMO. Johnson has been pretty good.

Parkhurst and Beasley both slow the game down a lot with their poor first touches.

Hopefully holden is okay. I understand that we want to take zero chances with him, so i'm fine with taking him out regardless of the severity of injury. It didn't look too bad, but his reaction on the sideline is concerning.

Paul Carr: @PCarrESPN: #USMNT had 398 1st-half touches to Panama's 178, but led only 5-4 in touches in the attacking penalty area.

Beckerman has just been so solid this tournament

eh.
he's fine defensively, but when he's there you need someone better/more assertive than what Holden and Mix have shown today.

Yea that seems to be his role as our only defensive midfielder right now.

I'm pretty sure it was him with the longball to bedoya, though... which was a great look.

Beckerman is serviceable but the biggest drop off on the whole roster is probably from jones/Bradley/Cameron to him

Holding the ball too longer before passing

Eddie Johnson trying to do it all by himself

Playing scared of turning it over

Maybe we'll correct some of this in the second half

Corona has not been impressive. Becks has played well today. Mix hasn't done a thing.

I want to see us move Landon out wide and bring on Wondo. Landon has no space and isn't getting enough touches
