Is there any chance the Londoner would consider doing some type of drink special to bring USA fans in? Like 2 for 1 or a dollar off draft if you're wearing a USA jersey or an outlaws shirt?
Id be more willing to make the trip across town more often if they'd make an effort to reach out to soccer fans
This. That 10% discount for wearing your AO shirt sounds nice and all but it also makes it look like they gave the minimum possible just to appease our pleas to get some sort of deal. We bring them a good bit of extra business, and in my opinion they don't show their appreciation that well. I don't go anymore because it's a bit past my budget range for what I'll pay for a beer, but if they had 2 for 1 specials I would return in a heartbeat, and I'd bring friends.

I definitely think you could find a bar around that would give some better drink special for events.

Also, if anyone wants to watch the game and there in Huntsville. The AO Chapter will be at the Brickhouse Sports Cafe in Providence.

I meant that I'll be at The Londoner on Saturday. I was hoping to make the trip to J-Ville but it just didn't work out.

What channel is this game on for DTV subscribers?

It's on NBC Sports Network and Galavision, if that helps. I don't have DTV.

A good bit of extra business? The last several games there were EXTREMELY small in turnout.

Need to try and find a closer bar. I'd make the trip up to BR for a couple of games (mainly because we don't have a AO chapter here), but it would just be too out of the way. I realize there's not much of a choice though.

Well it sounds to me like a lot of people have gone there in the past and given them a chance. It's their fault that the vast majority of people prefer not to return IMO. I'll be there Saturday but if it's how I'm expecting it to be I will be watching the next 4 games elsewhere in BR.

If you come up for one of the other games I'm thinking we'll probably watch at bogies, bulldog or pluckers

it pains me to say people just havent been coming out, even when weve had games at pluckers.

This could possibly be arranged. Do you watch the US games at Finns?

Yep.

I can't see any bars offering big discounts to AO members until more than a handful show up to watch matches and none will offer us TVs if some major NF, NBA game is on other than The Londoner. Maybe if some of the AO members would show up to The Londoner we could try and negotiate some better drink specials.
