Who is this random loan signing from Brighton? Don’t understand this.

All good stuff.

I hope Jackson falls just short of triggering the buy clause, but tears it up when he does play.

Still, he looks to be pulling in over 80 million (potentially).

Add that to the 435 million euros in sales, and Chelsea made bank this window!

We are still stuck with Sterling and Desasi.

I’m not too upset by that, as both can provide depth if need be.

My guess is that they won’t see the field, but you never know.

A loan spell to Turkey or Saudi would not shock me either.

Sterling, Disasi left in exile Chelsea's highest earner on a reported £325,000-a-week is England forward Sterling and he has now remained unsold in this window, along with France international defender Disasi.

The 30-year-old Sterling spent last season on loan at Arsenal but struggled to make an impact with Mikel Arteta's side, while Disasi, 27, spent the second half of the campaign on loan at Aston Villa.

Neither was selected for the summer's Fifa Club World Cup tournament, which Chelsea won by beating Paris St-Germain 3-0 in the final, and they trained in a separate 'bomb squad' after returning for pre-season.

Sterling is known to have had interest from Fulham and Bayer Leverkusen, but neither club formalised their interest, with a London move having been the forward's preference so he could stay close to his school-age children.

Disasi wanted to move back to his native Monaco, but Chelsea ran out of international loan spots, using the last one to bank £14.3m in a loan fee for Nicolas Jackson to join Bayern Munich. There are no such loan limits within the Premier League and Disasi had options to join Bournemouth or West Ham, but neither option materialised either.

West Ham wanted Disasi, but he did not want them

Scary with Guiu in place of Jackson. I like Guiu, but he’s unproven. Jackson, as raw as he is, is still a threat. I hope that one doesn’t come back to haunt us because we need striker depth for all the other competitions. Yes we did good business but still have some fat to cut. Wouldn’t it suck if Sterling was pressed into action due to injuries? That would be a disaster.

Maybe not.

He would have to play up top, not wide. He would have a much better supporting cast getting him the ball. Lastly, he played under Pep, so conceptually, he should retain some of that knowledge.

Honestly, if pressed to choose one atm, I prefer him to the youngster.

Selling George is a surprise. He played this week?

This window has been nuts. For all that Chelsea has done, I feel like we haven’t don’t enough. Especially when looking at what Liverpool and Arsenal have done lately with Eze and Isak. Would’ve loved another CB. Now I feel we’re thin up top.

Sounds like a bunch of excuses.

Anyone else been underwhelmed by Andry Santos? Missed a sure goal against Palace that would’ve been the game winner, and hasn’t stood out at all in other appearances. He’s usually first off the bench so Enzo obviously likes him, but I’m not seeing much.

He is doing grunt work. That stuff generally isn’t that noticeable.

Give him time, he is three matches in.

We need another CB and ?

Paez will be at Chelsea next year, and Colwill should be 100% by then. I still like Fofana.

Chalobah has filled in well enough.

Badiashile and Tosin aren’t bad.

In the middle, we have cover now, and up top, we have talent.

We are still VERY young.

Lastly, we were hemmed in by UEFA’s FFP.

We had to balance the books using sales from ONLY the Conference League roster to do so. If not, we were going to be hit with a huge fine.

Those restrictions come off in January.

It wasn’t ideal, especially with Arsenal and Liverpool not having that limitation.

Still, I like the squad, and I like where we are at the moment.

I’m bullish on the Blues.
