what is the opinion of the soccer board about ending this game in PKs. as a non soccer fan i think it is crazy exciting, although i understand its not the "best way" to decide it cause its not real soccer

Probably not a popular opinion but I think that if you can't settle the issue in 120 minutes, what's the alternative? Keep going until someone drops? Play the final all over again days later?

It would be like game 7 of the NBA finals being tied at the end of the first OT and instead of playing on, each team picks 5 players to shoot a free throw. The pressure of each shot builds excitement, but it's not a good indicator of the better team.

this is what i was thinking too. what is the alternative? its very exciting but not the best way to see who is the best soccer team
