Guzan is still better than Horvath right now.

I like how quickly this group wins the ball back. That’s been sorely missing far too often these last three or four years.
Not good opposition, but still, it’s what you wanna see.
Very impressed with Nick Lima and Roldan today. Baird did a lot of good things, but he’s still raw.

I disagree with pville here, but I think he needs another camp or two to claim the 2 from Guzan. Guzan is definitely not better than him. Every time there is a set piece against Guzan I can tell when they will score. He gets his line wrong fairly often.

Lleget & Kenny Saeif, 2 cats that could be real wild cards for the USMNT.. I hope one of them grabs a role by the horns.
Lleget was on his way to doing just that prior to his injury a year or so ago.

Can we please cut out this "Dos a Cero" shite? It doesn't mean anything to anyone but Mexico, and even a lot of the sting from that has gone out.

Damn that was fricking orgasmic from Lima.

what a fricking tackle and cross by Lima, and Walker, I hope he can win a starting spot. He's a modern center half, very good on the ball and passing vertically between the lines. Especially if we want to be a 3 at the back system, he can do it.

I feel like this is the most inspired passing and defensive press performance I have seen out of our MNT in a long time, if ever.
I know the age/level of experience/skill difference in both sides is a factor, but we have looked crisp on the ball almost the whole match.
RAMIREZ!
And a great ball for his layup from Lewis!

NYCFC sent Lewis on loan last year.

Horrible dive by Lletget.

Solid win for the boys. Ramirez physically looks the part, too bad we didn't get a long look at him.
I was pleasantly surprised by the performance the MLS kids put on. Came in with the intent to not criticize and expecting a tight match... Came out thinking we should have scored two more goals, but overall looked super crisp in passing and spacing.
Also, I'm in love with that midfield press, even if it was against a b-c team from Panama.

That was an excellent start to the Berhalter era. The team worked hard and was well-organized. Possession was mostly excellent.
Excited to see what he’ll do with our full complement of players.
