Very Gold Cup lineup. Not even playing for a draw, and saving everyone for Costa Rica. No M. Robinson worries me.

I disagree. I actually think this lineup has enough attacking to get aome goals with Musah being creative in the middle.

Turner, Zimmerman, and Musah are the only first choices at their positions. It’s the same formation, but with B/C players. I get why Greggg is doing this (and predicted it in the Jamaica thread), but if you’re going to concede that much I could see a more defensive shape.

Panama only makes two changes from the XI that started in a 1-0 loss at El Salvador last Thursday.

We've won at Panama with much worse.

How can you call it a Gold Cup lineup then say we're playing to lose when we won the Gold Cup?

You're being hella fatalistic.

Is it our strongest XI? Not even close.

Can they win at Panama? frick yes.

In Panama? Against everyone else’s A Team? I said before the cycle I’d be very happy with a draw today. I’d be even happier if we could do it with that XI. Seven points is all we need from this window. And with a fresh lineup Wednesday, there’s a good chance we get it, if we can stay level today.

We've never lost a World Cup Qualifier in Panama... that includes in 2014 when we played Brad Davis, Clarence Goodson , Terrence Boyd and Sacha Kljestian

The team Panama has this window is largely the same team they brought to the Gold Cup.

Hope we can keep that streak alive. But I’d say it’s at risk with this lineup.

This lineup is fine and Greg has shown he’ll make changes at half if needed

His argument is flawed anyway, Musah and Weah would have been first choice at the Gold Cup if they were there.

Eight changes on the sheet, not ideal in my eyes.

Still think it is winnable with this lineup, but holy hell we’re gonna possibly look disjointed.

Crowd is nowhere near full and the field doesn't look bad.

We can be on the front foot here.

Exactly what I predicted when the call ups were announced. Lletget, Zardes, Arriola all starting. You better believe Ream would be too if he was still here.
