Monica's questions always seem to be too long.

Still have some glaring issues defensively that we need to fix, but this is monumental heading into the upcoming quals.
This team was fun to watch today. Haven't said that in a while.

As long as bradley's on the pitch, I feel pretty confident we'll perform well.

This. There are problems, but I feel like the first team is bringing some firepower to the table.

Eddie Johnson became a liability when Germany ramped up the offense at the end, but his energy was integral in getting us to 4 goals.

Can't really criticize him for that since he's not a wide player.
Hopefully, Fabian Johnson can make it to Jamaica. We look much better with him moving forward (and centrally) in attack to support Jozy and Dempsey than with Zusi and Davis glued to the touchline.

call me crazy but where did Fabian Johnson contribute at all on the offensive end?
I'm still in the camp that he should stick to LB and let Beasely, who got ran through a couple times, play his natural position at Left mid/wing

We played through Zusi for most of the first half so we didn't get to see much of FJ today since he didn't play at all in the second half. But if Jurgen decides to try out FJ at LM, we need to do something about LB becaus Beasley had some rough moments today although he played alright.

Outside of a shot or two, he didn't really directly contribute to the attack. But, he was consistently running across the backline, at times more advanced than both Dempsey and Altidore, with Beasley pushed up on the left wing. It's much easier for Altidore and Dempsey to work when there is another attacker for the opposition to account for, than when forced to do everything on their own.
While this would seem to make the most sense, I am not holding my breath.

Jozy looked great today. Held up play, he was cool, and calm on the ball. He did exactly what we wanted him to do. His best moment, was his first touch turn and first time passed it to CD for a shot in the box AND he was actually playing some defense. I don't want him to play D a lot, but it was inspiring to see him get after it. Eddie Johnson did pretty well. He made a few runs and almost had a score. Boyd proved his enthusiasm which is great but he is going to have to work on maturity. I understand he wanted to score against Germany, but he neglected Dempsey on a counter. Hopefully, that won't be a big deal in the future. I don't think so. But, it was blatant today.
Dempsey had two great shots. It is also something we expected him to do. He didn't drift back and out of position like he did in the Belgium game. Bradley and Jones held the midfield together pretty well. Bradley won a lot of balls and had a few great passes. Jones once again is one of our better mids. He had a good professional foul off of a counter after a corner kick. That stopped a counter and provided a huge break for the US. Zusi got beat defensively a few times. His free kicks were meh. Some shown flashes. Fabian did well I think he can provide great
Back four needs help again. The shining star was Brad Evans. I don't think he can keep it up consistently, but he played great today. I think if he was pressed more. He would have crumbled. I think Gonzalez is still the CB of the future. However, he has to step up, become the leader, and with experience I THINK the few times of inconsistencies will go away. I actually wonder how Besler would do as LB, RB. In a friendly (while not preparing for the WC) I would love to see him there and then Cameron/Gonzalez in the middle. Besler could provide some serious speed on the wings. If I'm not mistaking he is the fastest person on our roster. Beasley isn't our LB. We need someone else there but he is a good makeshift LB. Castillo got beat like a drum a few times on the LB. However, he was anticipating help on some runs and it wasn't there. Also, he was a late addition.
I think Jurgen did a good job with the lineup. Tactically, he knew everything abt the Germans before the game including having the lineups days before. I don't think the Germans took the game as seriously as they could've. It's still a good win. However, their tempo was seriously slow. I'll still take a 4-3 win over German's 3rd team.

That was a very good summary.

I'll take 3 run of play goals against anyone at this point.
