No, I honestly don't care who you are a fan of or how you became a fan of that team, I'm really just curious.
I wouldn't call myself a hardcore Barca supporter by any stretch of the imagination, but I am a fan. And I only became a fan of them because of Ronaldinho in 2004 and have supported them ever since.

Saw a video on some Oasis fan site of them chanting "who the frick is man united" at a concert. My friend was a big MU fan and I couldn't stand how arrogant he was about it so I thought to myself, "hmmm...I like Oasis. I don't like MU. There's my new team."
This was when I was in high school so probably 2004 or 2005.
