The fact that this is even a debate is ridiculous. The rules regarding a PK should be absolute. There should be no room for interpretation at all. It has to be black and white.

PSG just absolutely mauled Leverkussen.

I haven't seen them much in Bundesliga but they seem like a bit of an odd team?

They looked fairly competent against Shaktar and Real Sociedad but were severely played off the pitch by PSG (and probably ManU based on the scorelines but I saw highlights of those two matches).

Surprising they're ahead of Shalke and Dortmund in the league table but maybe they consistently feast on minnows.

They were really hot early in the year and have come back down to earth hard. They generally do as you say though, struggle against better competition and take care of familiar, weak Bundesliga competition.

What's the O/U on Bayern goals today? 4?

The O/U for both teams in Vegas is only 2.5...

I'd set the O/U at 1.5

I'd say that is a fair number. Arsenal will put up 90 minutes of solid defense.

you know Ozil has been waiting for a game like tonight.

Pay back for his Madrid days and sticking it to the Bavarian National Team.

Verratti against Leverkussen yesterday.

Seems he does this about 5 times every match. . . I'm sure Zeman used to fully encourage it.

Apart from all of the running, he seems like he'd be an exceptional manager to play under, unless you're a defender

i hope he has the energy. he's been really getting after it these last two matches in terms of effort. him vs. lahm is certainly one of the key matchups. have to think Ox will start after his performance at Pool. that leaves the LW spot for Santi/Poldi/Rosicky. i honestly don't know who i'd pick there. rosicky is a very good big game player and a better defensive option than either of the other two. poldi is the more direct option but probably doesn't offer enough cover v. bayern. santi is the best of the three, but maybe not quite the counterattacking option we need. he's by far the most likely to create a moment of magic out of those 3 though.

Poldi b/c he would clearly be the most motivated

Yeah, especially younger midfielders and attacking players on mid to lower table sides seem to absolutely love him.

As you mention though his problem comes from the tactics not translating well to the bigger clubs.

De Rossi never said anything publicly but he often made a face like the family dog getting dressed up in a silly costume when Zeman would wave him forward or sub on another attacker at 80 minutes with 4-3 lead.

Home sick today. Gonna try and watch both games back to back. What are the chances Fox ruins the Milan-Athletico Madrid match for me? Thinking of covering the score in the top left and avoiding halftime. Really wish they wouldn't show the scores of other matches but I guess that is asking too much.

New Fox coverage is the absolute worst for this!

You have to cover a wide section under the score because they update every goal or red card. They also have a ticker that will show the score running under.

It's not often that the announcers actually comment on the other match in the knockout rounds. They did constantly about the other group stage matches and other EPL teams though.

I did it yesterday but it took a lot of painter's blue tape.

true.

saw some stat that he's the only player to play for both Bayern and Arsenal in Europe.

whoever we pick at LW, it will be a huge choice. Rafinha is pretty clearly the weak link on that Bayern squad. our best bet is attacking him and Robben down the left. our other best bet in getting dante to get another yellow so he can't play in the second leg

it's the worst part of NBC's online coverage too. no option to hide the scoreline of the game you're watching (even though it has dvr function) nor can you hide the scores above. you're pretty much fricked unless you watch it in full screen the whole time.
