Hurry up and lock down Joe Cole before Arry gets him.

He's getting paid more to play in Europe than he would in the US. No one in MLS values him at what he's making, so yeah, I'd say it's a great move for him.

he trained with the cosmos over the summer and i think he'd consider mls at some point. couldn't get a game at leeds even with an injury crisis so any move at this point works.

So what's everyone's opinion on the Modric to Chelsea deal or no deal? It seems to me that Spurs are doing the whole "put it on the player so if he leaves he looks like an a-hole" move. I don't see the deal getting done, but to say a player is not for sale is silly. Everyone is for sale, for the right price.

'Arry's doing his normal thing. Deal will get done for around 30 mill last day of the window.

The guy is either a complete idiot or an incredible douche. He keeps saying that "the lad's just confused". Damn right, he's confused as to why he's not being sold when a bid at his valuation is on the desk and the coach himself said that he could make a better team with the money gained from selling Modric. I honestly think that they are just trying to tempt Chelsea into going really big and way overspending.

IF you want to move clubs, don't sign a fricking five year contract the year before.

frick Modric I hope they hold on to him until next year and then sell him to some fricking shite hole Turkish Club.

And there is no way Harry turned down a 40 mill bid... they have been steady bidding 27. I see his valuation as around 32-35.

Chelsea bid 30 mil 2 days ago. I hadn't seen his valuation that high, I've been under the impression that he was 25-30 mil.

The highest I have heard is 27 plus performance bonuses. There is a difference. And if Jordan Henderson is worth 20 mill, then Modric is worth mid 30's.

ETA: Maybe a few years ago in the same situation his valuation would be lower. But in a Man City market, where Liverpool spends 35 mill on Andy Carroll...

Wenger via Arsenal.com: I'd like to buy three more players
quote:

"It is important [to strengthen] because we will lose players in January with players going to the African Nations Cup," said Wenger. "We lose Gervinho and Chamakh together so, first of all, it is important to strengthen up front. It is important that we find one midfielder and one defender as well. So we are still short of three bodies. My time has been taken up [by players going out] and it was a very difficult summer on that front because we had to face adversity, negativity, but it had to be done. Overall, we tried to do as well as we could."

why did I expect anything different than some obscure fricker

That's okay though. We need more fire power in the midfield and defense
