Thanks. My friend who follows the French league said the same thing, that Capoue is a work in progress because he started off as a central defender and is more of a tackling defensive mid than a natural distributor.

I wonder what his transfer fee will be this summer. He has all of the signs of a future transfer to Fenerbahce because our new coach loves young players who haven't reached their potential yet. He also seems to have good scouting contacts in France, so we have been linked to just about every Ligue 1 and French international midfielder. I think Capoue is a more reasonable target than Mamhamadou Diarra (too old) and Lassana Diarra, the other two guys who have been linked most prominently in the press so far.

Capoue has tremendous upside I think. I think he started nearly every game for Toulouse. He'll need to play beside someone, though, as he doesn't get forward too often.

Have you guys been linked with Marvin Martin? He had 17 assists for Sochaux this season.

That's fine. We have some very talented and skilled midfielders, but they aren't great at playing defense. Emre is probably the most skilled Turkish midfielder besides Arda Turan, and we have two great wings in Miroslav Stoch and Issiar Dia. Mehmet Topuz is totally unknown outside of Turkey, but he is the closest thing to a true box-to-box midfielder in the country, and then you have Alex who had 28 goals and 15 assists as a 33-year old. Our defensive mids are very lackluster compared to that group though.

For that reason, we haven't been linked to Martin because he plays a position where we have some talent, but both Diarras, Capoue, and someone from St. Etienne called Blaise Matuidi.

I was reading that Dia, Martin, and Ben Arfa were all on the same youth team when they were in middle school They must have beaten some sides 20-0.

Sweet Diaby vs Ben Arfa fight from when they were at Clairefontaine. Not really relevant. Just wanted to post.

Lille's Hazard to RM, guess why that's why they're not making overtures to AM for the Kun.

Zidane's got a man crush on Hazard. Lille's Prez sayin' it's a no go for at least two years.

I read the same. Would Berbatov want to play for Newcastle?

Supposedly he liked Newcastle as a kid, so if no-one in Europa League/CL comes in for him they are probably best set
