I've actually been able to watch some of the 2nd half, I know the competition, but man I like what I'm seeing. As somone who has said Richy needs to go, I really like him as a person and he is as Spurs as you can get. I hope this is a resurgance, it's very obvious the team love him and he is great locker room presence.

What a weekend it would be

Hand up, Richy has made me look like a fool. His last two performances have been excellent. BCK mentioned it, but I don’t think I’ve ever seen him play this well with his back to the goal.
These performances lately from Spence and Richarlison are exactly what this club needs to take the next step. We need players pushing each other and providing competition. Solanke and Udogie have a real job ahead to get their starting spot back.
Gonna be really interesting to see if they are able to add quality to this team before the window closes. Savinho and Eze would give Frank so much flexibility with the front line.
Sarr looks like he is ready to take his game to a new level. So much of what he does goes under the radar.

Not to be the downer, but I do expect us to beat Burnley 3-0. That should be normal for us. But coming off last season it feels more like relief. Same for Richys performance today. After so much time from injury, this is the striker we bought. BUT I need to see consistency and injury free. Otherwise it’s still hoping based on the exceptions from what should be the rule.
Downer over.
Downer over.

Well, my negative Debbie downer moment was seeing Levy in the stands without a phone to his ear! Get these deals over the line Levy, stop playing around!

Richy’s been mentioned for good reason obviously, but Sarr was great and bossed the midfield and Kudus looks like the real deal. Super strong, takes on his man, and has an end product. If we can add in Eze and Savinho we could be cooking

Well, that’s it. Special K showed up so were definitely getting Eze tomorrow

Hey, get your own thing.
But on that note, this game was a lot closer than the final 3-0 score line for about 60 minutes or so. A better team would’ve made more of the openings burnley were able to create. We allowed too much space for their guys to get shots off. Romero had some cheap giveaways. im not impressed with gray, or that trio of midfielders as a whole. Though I thought Sarr was the best of the bunch. Bergvall still wants to take too many touches, but you can tell there’s a player there. I still don’t see it with Gray. It just felt like those three had a hard time finding the space through the middle of the field. It would be nice if any of our midfielders could actually switch play, and ping some passes. Palhinha tried to when he came on, but they were shitty passes.
Kudus is like the complete oppsite player of Johnson. He works hard, amazing back to goal, impossible to get the ball off of, takes players on for fun…and has zero nose for goal. Johnson does frick all, but scores.
Ultimately, pleased with a 3 goal win, and a clean sheet. Great goals from Richy (please stay healthy).

A game winner from Eze and then off to the Lane. What a beauty that would be

Eze taken off at 84’. Fans clapping standing ovation and he returned the favor. Proper goodbye

Fabrizio says we’re close!!! Finish the deal LEVY!!

quote:Maybe so, but this is the kind of match that ended much differently last season. Last year we either ran inferior squads off the pitch or slogged our way to a 2-2 draw or 2-1 defeat, with nothing really in between. We didn't blow Burnley away statistically yet still won 3-0. Definitely positive.

Cuti and Spence just signed new contracts

Huge statement by Romero! I’m sure the extra money is nice, but he had all the leverage to just run his deal down to next summer and pick his spot.
Getting him signed to a long term deal in his prime is massive for this squad. Romero, Spence, VdV, Danso, Takai, Vuskovic, Dragusin, & Udogie are all signed until at least 2029! Extend Porro and bring in a LCB/LB at the end of this summer or next and we will have our back line sorted for years.

Seems to be a thousand ways to say “Eze is coming but we’re waiting”
