Good result today. Wish we would have loaned out Lamela instead of Lennon.

what position does grant ward play?

Interesting lineup this morning. Our fans are being loud already too.

lol at what Lamela just got away with to put us level.

Well, at least it wasn't intentional.

We should sell Kyle Walker, and buy a good center back for the money.
I think Dier makes a brilliant fullback who will only continue to improve with time.

I would be fine selling Walker. He doesn't do anything but piss me off now. Honestly, he can take Vertonghen with him. He's been poor, at best, this season.
Supposedly we've already agreed to terms for a young defender from Germany...CB I believe.

Yeah. I'm way more interested in have a tradition 4 man back line. Speedy defenders on the sides with two big bodies in the middle. Rose and Dier honestly have looked like our best options at fullback. Our center backs are what continue to worry me.
Kevin Wimmer plays in Germany, but he is an Austrian national. He is a big body CB. I'd be very happy with him.
I'm honestly terrified that we lose Hugo this window though. Vorm isn't even close to a replacement imo.

If we lose Hugo, we should have plenty of money to find a solid replacement. Hugo deserves to go. He is way too incredible not to be playing Champions League every year.

So is Europa basically a curse? You end up playing so many games that the league games don't get 100% focus and then end up finishing #6 and doing it all over again.

Sort of. But you are also not going to do well in Champions League if you qualify and aren't used to playing in Europe.

I'm certainly jealous. Hope it's a great match with Spurs coming out on top

Nothing to be ashamed of today. Deserved a point today no doubt. Played City well enough to get 3 points but a lot of bad luck mixed in there in this one.
A frustrating one no doubt with a lot of chances missed. Effort was top notch.

Except that was definitely a penalty early on, and you should have had a player off

Incidental tripping has never warranted a sending off, what the hell are you on about?

Nope
I would have given a PK for the slide tackle on Kane in the box before I would have called this.

I don't know if it was bad luck as much as it was poor execution, and rather poor play all around. Mason is a passenger, Chadli and Lamela are wasteful, Eriksen has had 1 goal and 2 assists in his last ten, and Kane is rather starved of chances even though he has pretty excellent movement. Chadli and Lamela hold onto the ball far too much, as do Townsend and Dembele, and Spurs just lack that player to make them "work" in the same way Modric did. I think Eriksen could be that player, but he has to impose himself on games more. He, like Mason, appear to coast through games at times. Mason seems frightened of making a forward pass, while Lloris is overeager to come out, and has to be blamed for being beaten near post. I don't think Dier is a RB, but he's had some good deliveries.
It's a shame that Spurs appeared to have wasted the Bale money, as they could have been sitting pretty for years to come. Soldado and Lamela are massive busts, and Spurs paid a hell of a lot for a bench player in Paulinho. I don't quite understand why they don't do better, as on paper it looks an impressive squad.
