We dominated this game. We were up 1-0 at the 80th minute.

I didnt watch the game, but this looks like typical AVB stats. Dominate possession, have fewer shots on goal. Hopefully, we will begin changing that.

We actually took 21 shots with 12 on target and dominated possession at 68%. Total meltdown at the end of the game. I mean we had as many shots on goal as they did total shots.

All of those shots and still only one goal. Sucks.

Subbing off Adebayor and Rose hurt us. Hopefully they'll be able to play a full game this weekend. I really liked what I saw from Ade.

Defoe sucks I wouldn't mind seeing him get shipped off to Toronto. He had an assist but he either lost the ball or was offside the rest of the game.

I would like to see Saldado teamed up with Ade. I believe the subs of Rose and Ade were for fitness purposes and to assure they were fresh for the weekend.

Hope it was worth it!

3 points at Southampton is no small thing. Big win today. Adebeyor played how we all know he can, but we also all know his problem has always been motivation. Soldado continues to be off the mark. I still prefer him to Defoe though. Lloris was pretty bad today. Lots of punches that should have been catches. I also blame him for Southamptons 2nd goal. He was way out of position. Chiriches also had a poor day. Llallana had his way with him. We need Vertonghen back soon.

I think other than a few bright moments Rose had a pretty bad game as well, at least passing the ball. He was very sloppy at times. We had a lot of wasted chances today but at least we are creating some chances. Solid win on the road let hope they can get some momentum this week.

I thought was decent defensively, but yes, his passing was lacking. On the other hand, he looked like a GOD compared to Naughton.

Yes, Not On should naught be on the pitch. Laim ala looked his usual self. Dribbling in to three defenders and looking frustrated when he doesn't emerge with the ball. Lloris needs his head examined again, little too punchy still. Ade seemed to benefit from the pine time, found his 3rd gear again. We owe that to AVB, a mad Ade is a power Ade. Overall much more stimulating football today. Mix Tim and AVB together and you'd have one helluva coach!

I've heard y'all have this American goal keeper who is pretty good. Y'all should try him out or something.

They think he sucks. I'm totally ok with the club thinking the same. Better for the rest of the league.

The first 30 minutes of the 2nd half is what I thought the team would be like all season... Let's hope we can gain some momentum and go on a run!

He played great today! I hope he keeps it up... I am an Ade hater when he is acting like a little girl, which has been most of the time until recently.

I agree. He is out to prove AVB wrong right now. Ade with motivation is one of the best. He just rarely has motivation.

I was pretty excited with the formation Spurs ran. I liked seeing Saldado with some help up front. He showed some creativity and that cross was a beauty to watch. He also had several scoring chances that I hope in the next few weeks he starts to put into the back of the net. I think him seeing the ball more with Ade up front will create more chances for us to score. Now we need a mid-fielder to step up and complete the attack. I see good things when we get the injured players back.

We were pretty weak in the midfield but that was totally worth it to see us attacking with a purpose again.

[1] This was the Adebayor we saw in 2011-12. When he WANTS to, he can be all kinds of trouble for opposing back lines. Let's hope he keeps it up.

[2] Soldado really benefited from the extra striker playing up front. His service to Ade was spectacular. Sure, he missed on several chances. But I think the more the play continues like this that he will eventually find his way again and start hitting the back of the net.

[3] frick Defoe. He looked completely checked out when he came in. He didn't go after passes or loose balls. He just was there, taking up a spot on the pitch. Turrible. I hope and pray he gets shipped over to Toronto.

[4] Gylfi played with a TON of hustle out there. I loved seeing that. He made several runs that his teammates didn't pick up on which could have resulted in scoring chances. I hope he gets to stay on the pitch and continues to gel with the team.

[5] Good to see Lamela get more time with the first team. He wasn't spectacular. But I think he needs playing time to find his way with this group. I think and hope he can make an impact in the long term.

[6] WTF was up with TS subbing in one of his U21 guys in the midfield instead of Holtby?

Bentaleb actually looked really good, especially for his Premier League debut. I didn't hate the substitution.

Reward young guys in your system for working hard, and you will have a better team.

Yeah I was saying WTF too but he came on and played really well. Physical dude and he looked really comfortable with the ball at his feet.
