I think you gotta point the fingers at Levy too.... True he's been shrewd in seeking players... But AVB is his hire ( I still like him) and he bought these players

That is probably true.

You still like who? AVB? He looked clueless at Chelsea and everyone blamed Roman, now he looks just as clueless at Spurs and it can't be Roman's fault this time.

To be fair, 99% of the time it is Roman's fault. Blaming the owner is just a logical progression when it comes to CFC.

It may have been the reason. However his multiple bumbling interviews at Chelsea and now even more bumbling makes it seem like he has no idea what he is doing.

Yea, I agree. Their window was great on paper, but in hindsight was a bit much.
Firing him is an overreaction in my opinion.

It may be if only because there aren't a bunch of names out there. That and the moving parts might as well allow him a full year. Has any manager been fired from 2 consecutive jobs without making it through a season?

You can´t take five chicharros at home, especially against a fricking Liverpool not at full power (no offense to Liverpool, as I know they´re currently high in the table, but that´s a very serious WTF).
Fire him now, salvage the season with a ra-ra cheerleader type (find a real coach meanwhile, and sign them in June).

Who do you fricking think Tottenham are? This wasn't United losing at OT 5-0 to LFC. And this wasn't Norwich beating Spurs 5-0 at the Lane. Tottenham was at less "power" than LFC was, and LFC have been a much better team than Spuds in 2013.
A firing is an overreaction. He has an entirely new squad. Give him at least a full season with them, preferably one injury free.

It's official per Tottenham Hotspurs facebook page, AVB is gone. No word who the new manager is yet.

Now where do we go?
AVB was very underwhelming this year but who do we replace him with?

I'm not sure. I just want to bring back the exciting attacking football we used to play that got me following spurs in the first place. Hopefully this will be a breath of fresh air and we'll see some improvement.

You guys should give RDM a shot.

I wouldn't mind RDM......but Levy hasn't called me yet. I'm getting pretty pissed.

I hope we see what often happens when a manager is fired in sports. The teams plays loose.

I am still outraged by that terrible performance yesterday and still cannot put words to describe that abysmal performance.
That being said... I agree with the sacking of AVB. He made some terrible decisions and hopefully the players will step it up for the remainder of the season.

Not happy with AVB being sacked.
I just liked him and would've liked to see him finish out the season.

I liked AVB too. I was initially against him being sacked, but after a day to think about it and read more into it I think it was the right decision.
I had visions of a young coach and a young team growing together and becoming a solid unit that would consistently finish top 4. So I guess I'm sad that that won't be happening. Hopefully the team will respond positively.
