All this spending rally makes me think that Bale will be gone but who knows?
This is the perfect situation. Before the summer, I thought that we might sell Bale, and I was hoping it would be worth it.
Now there is a chance we might keep Bale, and if we lose him, it's been worth it. Tons of upgrades! No more Tottenham Gareth Bales jokes, as we have talent all over the field.

U21s beat City today 6-3. Not that any of those kids will ever play for City.

So I'm guessing spurs tv app is the only way to watch Europa matches
Posted on 8/19/13 at 6:58 pm to Westlakeguy10
Nah. Not sure who has the contract, but they are usually on TV. Probably FSC, or FS+.

Just highlight on spurs tv actually I just found out

So supposedly it's official 93 million with Fabio Contero added in. Possibly a 30 mill offer being accepted for Willian, along with another bid for Erik Lamela!
Posted on 8/20/13 at 7:01 am to Westlakeguy10
Yep. Word is Willian will decide today, but that he may already be in London.
And the Bale deal looks to be done.
Good days for Spurs if so.

I'm new but 4 transfers in and then a possible 3/4 more that has to be rare or is that normal ?

Very rare for spurs. I've followed them for a few years now and this is the wildest transfer window I've been a part of. I'm super excited

If we lose Bale but get Contero, Willian, and Lamela AND have a good chunk of change left over, consider me happy. I'm already impressed by what Spurs have done this transfer window. If the rest of these deals happen, it will be unbelievable.

And plus the guy from Ajax wanting in cant think of his name

This is the best offseason I've ever had as a sports fan. We are a out to lose the best player in the Premier League, and I'm not even upset. So excited about this squad.

Where does this leave Lennon and Chadli in the grand scheme?
Posted on 8/20/13 at 9:15 am to bigbenlsu
Good question. I have no idea, but I'm going to talk it out with myself right now to see if I can come to a conclusion.
Soldado has basically been the man this offseason. We have a lot of signings, but striker was the number one concern.
If we pay more money for Lamela, I think we have to start both of them, which means we probably won't run the 4-3-3 that has been expected (that we ran against Crystal Palace).
I would look at a 3-5-2 (what Everton runs). That gives us a variety to work with in the midfield. The defense might be scary, but with the outstanding defensive mids (Sandro, Dembele, Capoue), I think it could work.
On the outside mids/wingers, we'd need them to be getting back defending, so we might use two subs a game on that position. Chadli, Lennon, Willian, Holtby, Sigurdsson, are all players who would be fighting for playing time.
Basically we have too many great players. We are so deeply brain hurts. I will come back to this problem later today.

Eriksson? The CB?

If Bale is indeed gone, I look for Chadli to cement himself in this position. I think the right side could be rotated with Lennon as the preference for AVB for now. If he could just learn to pass better...

If we get willian and Lamela, I see Lennon becoming the last off the bench behind the other 2 and Chadli.

Supposed to be 93 million pounds, not Euros. Plus Willian is supposed to be in London for a medical. Levy is a spending machine this summer.

One of two things is happening.
Either 1) Levy has multiple personality disorder
Or 2) Bale is going to Madrid
I'm going with 2.
