This print screen of The Times article (which you need a subscription to read)was posted in the Liverpool thread. Oh my gosh. If we get Willian, Fabio Coentrao, and somehow keep Bale, we are winning the fricking Premier League.

I have a feeling if we spend that money it's because Bale was sold. But a boy can dream!

I think this is the case, or perhaps they are spending it, gambling on the fact that they can sell him for a similar price next year. If that's the case, let's win the Premier League!

It would be awesome if we went and got these guys and pushed for first. I think Chelsea is the best team right now and both Manchester teams are very good, but if we keep everyone I really think we could have a shot.

My thoughts on the players against Crystal Palace:
Lloris was phenomenal! I'm so glad we have him
Walker was all over the place he's really become a great player
Dawson was consistent minus a couple blips. I'm very glad he stuck around
VERTONGHEN was VERTONGHEN. Great player
I thought rose did well compared to preseason and saved our arse a couple times getting back.
Chadli took awhile to get into the mix but I thought he played well and really excelled whenever CP brought on more attackers and gave him room
Lennon needs to get a better final ball, but he was attacking the defense which was nice to see. And he earned our PK
Soldado made some great runs. I love that guys movement off the ball that's what we need from our #9. He also made some great passes. Perfect PK finish hopefully one of many
Paulinho did really well to keep possession nothing really sticks out in my mind but he was solid all game
You're not going to take the ball away from dembele. I'm amazed how he holds onto the ball sometimes. He was solid as usual
Capoue looks like Sandro part 2
Siggy did just ok in my book. He should have scored and he looked a little off on some passes. I think that is just a case of not being familiar with his new teammates. I have a feeling he'll improve in the next couple of weeks.
Defoe looked good as a sub. If he embraces that role he could destroy some tired defenses with his pace and finishing ability. He should scored today though
AVB looked great as usual

I thought Siggy did good other than the miss. Had the blast from rite outside the box goal keeper made a great full extension save.

Anybody know if tottenhams Europa match Vs D.T will be televised in the states. I searched on fox soccer an none of the showings hAd them Thursday .

Yes. He never really got completely comfortable last year, but I think he has the talent to be a top goalkeeper in the league. We should see that this year.

I lost it laughing when he attacked the CP keeper during a clearance like he was a striker. Of course the ball was cleared to the left side of the field where the right back is supposed to be.
I'm sure he will be a bit more conservative against the better teams, but he is one of the best crossers we have, and I like him attacking. quote:

I'd prefer Kaboul starting. Dawson is a great leader, but he is pretty heavy footed back there. Reminds me of myself (and that's not a good thing).

I really like his aggressiveness. A lot of our mids and wingers are afraid to take the shot. Chadli clearly embraces that roll.

My biggest complaint about Lennon. I hope that he eventually becomes a change of pace bench player for us with Chadli and Bale (or Willian) starting. Lennon just doesn't dribble with his head up, so he never sees the obvious assist.

Such great news for this team. Bobby Soldier is a huge upgrade.

Yes. He is in complete control with the ball. Knows where everyone around him is, and he doesn't lose the ball even when he is aggressively challenged.

I have high hopes for Paulinho. To be honest, he reminded me a bit of Scott Parker (in a bad way) yesterday. He was not fully comfortable yet and he seemed to be more concerned about keeping possession (even if that meant passing it back) than attacking the defense. He will get more comfortable. Clearly, the BPL is more challenging than Brazil.
