Anyone watching the friendly against the Spurs?

Bakayoko and Sarr have looked terrible. Terrible first touches and unable to play the ball at their feet. Terrible decision making which has lead to one turnover and a goal from the Spurs. The reserve backline looks bad.

saw the first half. completely dominated and Kante looked like a little fricking terminator.

then lost the stream for awhile and it came back just in time to watch Sarr look totally out of place. understood why he struggled for time at porto.

Ziyech did work today. There been some talk about moving him but I’d like to see how he does with a full preseason.

I don’t want Lukaku I want fricking Haaland.

And if we don’t keep Ziyech then we’re retarded.

Of the three mentioned (Lukaku, Lewandowski and Haaland), Lukaku was the last I wanted. It looks like it’s gonna happen tho so I’m on the Blukaku train.

there are only really 2 proven strikers available and we struck out on haaland. Lukaku is a massive upgrade.

ill only really melt if Haaland ends up at Man U. that would sting.

We asked. Haaland wasn’t interested apparently. We move on.

Lukaku is no poor man’s consolation prize though. He was absolutely lethal at euros. We’d be really hard pressed to do better right now.

Minus the aspect of buying back our own player, I kige this idea.

Lots of talk about Kounde too which I’d like to see happen also. Talented young group we are assembling.

Didn't those talks come to a stalemate after West Ham declined Zouma?

not sure if stalemate is quite right, but it def changed the opportunity to get the deal done quick. the athletic reporters seem to think its still gonna happen, just taking a backseat at the moment until lukaku is sealed.

I'm reading the Kounde deal is happening with or without Zouma.

Broja nearing loan with Soton. thats a top spot for a season imo.

if it happens, billy and borja really in good positions to play themselves into the first team next year.

I was really hoping they’d keep both in the squad but one more year of loan will help them both. Was also hoping they kept Gallagher but I supposed they feel the same about him.

thought billy should prob have been given more time in the rotation last yr but lamps getting canned and his knee injury kinda stalled his progress. you already see what hes giving norwich in preseason and i think thats some depth we could end up regretting.

Borja woulda been buried under rom, kai, and timo. woulda just been a wasted year. hasenhuttl isnt so different from tuchel in approach (and Low was with hasenhuttl for a couple years before being hired by TT at PSG and following him to chels) so it just feels like a really great spot to develop. better than CP for gallagher imo. that could be a real shite show.
