sell Costa and Oscar

Not surprised about the former, but what has happened with Oscar?

Seems he has really fallen from grace over there? Serious question.

Did you support the Mata sale?

I agree with Stones, would like to keep Costa and Oscar, add a RB, drop Falcoa, bring up Bamford and add another striker.

Give me Stones, Griezman, and Miktaryan from Dortmond... No idea on a RB worth considering.

Oscar is great for the first half of the season and then sucks the second part. It is the second part that Randy hates.

He always seemed like a softy to me. Straight up Kaka-esque without the 2 years of being the absolute best player in the world.

He is still young and shows flashes...needs to put on some weight, IMO, because he does lack physicality.

Oscar has been inconsistent since he arrived though at first it could be written off because he was so young, now it's a pattern. He usually starts off each season incredibly well but by the winter he has fallen off and by spring he can't even get on the field he's so bad.

I didn't want to sell Mata because I really like him but I understand why Jose did it. His defending is hilariously bad and you know there are gonna be times when that's what Jose wants/expects him to do.

When are we gonna get a young striker? Pedro is 28, we can't keep getting these guys on their way out of their prime

Pedro...whatever, fine. glad to see something happening, but didnt really see much of him last year so i cant say for certain what it is i like or dont like about his game. could work out great, BUT, when griezmann is out there for twice the cost, significantly younger, and arguably as or more talented, im left with a very blah feeling.

Yes Pedro is a short term solution but it's something that has to be done if want any chance of competing for anything this season. I doubt he is the answer for us to do anything truly significant but he fills a massive void on this team of an attack minded wide player when we are in a situation where we need to score goals. Willian will be a great sub when we need to defend but I think Pedro will offer us much more going forward.

Now all we need to do is lock up Stones, sell Costa and Oscar, drop Falcao, go get a real #10 that is consistent and a striker who is reliable and can create his own shots, and bring Bamford into the side.

How much of this is a joke? I'm hoping most

None of it. We obviously want Stones and need a long term Terry replacement. Falcao on the roster is a waste and I'd love to see a young guy actually be given a chance.

Oscar is way too inconsistent to be relied on over a 60 game season and Cesc is being wasted because we don't have any attackers or play a style that allows them to make dangerous forward runs for Cesc to pick out.

Costa is just as likely to get injured or suspended as he is to score a goal with the current makeup of the team. I know there aren't many out there but we need a striker like Aguero who can create his own shots/goals sometimes.

Now, I don't think any of those things are going to happen so from that perspective yes it's a joke but I think those are some of the things that need to happen for us to head back towards being European elite.

I have no hope, it makes too much sense for it to actually happen.

would it be stupid to move hazard to striker? Dudes young, fast as hell and can dribble through defenders

Yes because he is obviously no target man, for either crosses or to relieve pressure. Frankly he is not a great finisher either. It's the area of his game keeping from becoming mentioned with the greatest of greats.

He needs to keep doing what he's doing picking up the ball in the midfield and running at defenders. He just needs more help in the attack to take some of the pressure off and to improve his finishing.

With our plethora of wingers, I have actually wondered what we would be like have Hazard play centrally in an attacking role. Call it a CF or CAM position.

The realization is Hazard doesn't have a position often and floats around doing whatever he pleases in most games so this would be a formality.

Willian will be a super sub with terrific defensive effort. Pedro adds some attack but is not a long term fox as discussed.

Isco would be an absolute dream come true and a long term solution.

I think we are actually seeing moves because of the arse kicking City gave... Let's see if we sneak in another before the window closes. Griezman, stones, or Isco would all be terrific additions.

Yea if we want to make a serious run at the Prem or in Europe somebody like Griezmann or Isco is a must.
