Dortmund was an incredible example of Non-casual fan support last year.
But obviously success brings in casual supporters who bring in revenue, so nobody is gonna deny the casual supporter and opportunity to cheer and spend their shillings or euros or whatever it is these days

How did the Milan Derby not make the first page? I will always remember the riots when they played in the Champions League quarters in 2005.

ask their fans, and they will tell you its not really a rivalry. Other than the fans fighting in London back in may the fan bases get along and you even see away fans sitting in the home section. If a Shalke fan wore their colors in the Dortmund section the would be taken out in a stretcher.

Ive been there and it was rocking. People seem to be clueless that lots of these clubs now like United,Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea have fans from all over england who flood into the cities on the weekend by train. I saw hundreds over Liverpool fans heading up from London on the day of the game vs Chelsea. For a second i was like is the game at Chelsea.

Though it doesn't completely explain the phenomenon, it's totally possible to move from Liverpool or Manchester to London, too

Its actually shocking how many brits really never even leave their area their whole life time. People from Liverpool and Manchester stick out in London big time. B/c of their accents and how they dress.

At no point in time did I claim Bayern had the best fan base. In fact I gave credit to BVB
Stoke is the best example. A club that is not terribly successful, but has the most supportive fans, yes even moreso than those stupid league title winning teams, because not one casual observer is going to pick up on Stoke over Barca or Manchester or Real.

yea maybe fans who live abroad but the ones living in england, germany, spain etc not so much.

We have good Scouse family friends who live in southwest London. Moved to London for business reasons. Still make the trip back north every weekend.
