Who knows how true this is but I saw on r/Red Devils there was a source that claimed Carrick and McKenna have been trying to implement better attacking tactics in training but Ole and Phelan always end of reverting to more conservative tactics late in the week.
Said McKenna and Carrick were frustrated because they don’t know what tactics they are supposed to be preparing the team for.

I don’t think I want Conte - feels too much like a Mourinho retread, and can’t imagine he’d stick around more than 2 seasons.
On the other hand, clearly things are not working out with Ole in charge, and it feels like we need a quick fix who can take advantage of a pretty stellar squad.
