And new contracts for all of our front 3

Catching on a crazy last month -
welcome to some new LFC fans that have joined our thread
Its early days (and only friendlies) but I may be in love with Keita. The little space and angles he creates for these perfectly weighted through balls was insane. When Salah/Mane get back and onto those...
Allison is big - I'm not 100% convinced the price is worth it, but having read some additional stats (essentially one of the best distributors in the world - in particularly long distribution) plus his expected goal save percentage, he should do really well. Given his aggressive nature, he will make some mistakes - and personally, I believe one of the issues Liverpool GK face is the increased pressure from the mid-table teams they come from and the fact that they can't handle it. He won't have faced quite as much pressure at Roma, but its not too far off.
I would still love Fekir - Ox is out to at least the later part of the season (likely not until next season). Lallana is coming off a year he couldn't stay healthy. We need someone who can play across a few positions - Fekir would be outstanding as CAM, back-up bobby, back-up wing, etc.. I think one concern is you're adding an injury prone Fekir to a injured Ox and injury prone Lallana. Or maybe we're concerned with registration and making sure we have enough non-English spots (we're coming dangerously close to having issues here). Or mayabe we're just trying to talk them down another 5-10m. I don't buy a think the club mouth pieces are saying though.
I'm three weeks late to the Origi discussion, and I've made my points before, but...I don' care how many goals he scores - its not enough to make up for the detriment he causes to the rest of the team. He scores 3 goals but he'll cost the team 7 more because he doesn't move the way he needs too. He stymies the production of other players around him. Other than a month long patch before his injury a few years ago, he's not nearly good enough.
I absolutely love the transfer business we have done this year to completely updgrade most of our spine. We're solid now everywhere. When Lovren is your weakest link, its still pretty damn good.
I won't ever put a "trophy" or nothing objective on a team - but this team needs to, and should win something this year.

injury prone Fekir
Is he injury prone or did he just have one bad knee injury?
Posted on 7/20/18 at 9:58 am to TFTC
Since he’s had the first ACL procedure I believe he’s had 2 other small “clean out” procedures done
I don’t think he’s injury prone in the sense of Sturridge or Lallana but still they could be looking at it as he might be like a Derrick Rose or Brandon Roy situation and question how much longer his knees are gonna be able to take the physical nature of the game. Could hold out for him til he retires or could start a downward spiral in the next year or two.
I mean I’d like to have him but they know what’s going on with his knee so they have to make an informed decision on if he’s worth it so I get it

def.. I mean thats what killed the deal in the first place..

Wish we'd just say frick it and buy Pulisic. He'd fit in perfectly across a ton of positions for us.

Sturridge
Watching him play yesterday I sill get the "well, if he could stay healthy" feelings..
I know its a false dawn, but I just love watching him score goals...

Me too
He’s looked good more sitting in as a false 9 almost and helping create from what I’ve seen
But yea I think we still try to sell him. Now if no one bites and wants to pay then.....

I hope he stays... unless we really need to sell to balance the books.. or if he just wants to go and try to be the main man... more power to him..
But with his body... it may just suit him to get limited playing time and still be with a very good team..

Fekir has had a few 2-6 weeks injuries since his ACL tear.
not horrible, but with the increases pressing of a Klopp team? If Lallana is out half the year ( an improvement) and Ox is out all year, you need someone who's pretty dependable. Unless we're counting Studge as a possible CAM now, in which case we'll could have 4 guys and none of them healthy for that one sport
I think we've given up on getting any sort of value on Studge. No one with the money to pay his wages wants to take a chance on him. And in some ways, I'd rather he just slot in as best he can and lets see if we can get him going again. Wouldn't be a pad option, when healthy to spell another attacker in the center or to help unlock low table teams.

The Fekir deal is pretty much dead. He is being presented with the World Cup trophy by his club the day our season starts. Don’t think that would be happening if Lyon thought he was leaving. Also the 10 shirt was going to be his if he came.

I wouldn't mind us going after Draxler if the Fekir deal is dead... PSG needs to sell some players, but Tuchel may rate him more than Emery...
I wouldn't be opposed to Pulisic either... he may get too pricey for this summer... given our outlay already...

It may very well be.. but I wouldn't put too much stock in either one of those factors..

I've seen 60 million euros. Isn't that what we're offering Fekir? Was thinking it was 40 some million quid?
60 million for pulisic does scare me though after a bit of a down season.

The SAS highlights from youtube are still an incredible watch.
What a season. Although he was still out for a decent amount of it lol. Luckily Suarez never gets injured, dude is a brick shite house.

that price wouldn't be bad at all...
I had read closer to £100 at one point... but figured he'd be about £75mm.. just me guessing..

We sure he's worth that? I love him but I don't know.

I wouldn't pay that...
I think its the age + American star (marketing dream) that would escalate the price...
I'd like to see him play as a #10 more for BvB, before paying that...
Also, a front 4 that includes Shaqiri would score a lot of goals too... Though I still hope we bring someone in...
