game changer. Knew he was going to be good in the attack with his pace, but it looks like he's fully bought into gegenpressing which Klopp was concerned about in the preseason. It's going to be hard for any team in the world to neutralize him and Mane with how intelligent Firmino is opening things up for them.

Yeah if they can play like that consistently, there's no reason we can't compete for silverware this year... Especially if we can just land a competent CB before the window closes

Salah totally changes the "parking the bus" defense situation we find ourselves going against around the middle of the season... he's got a great feel, like Suarez, for where the crease is going to be, before it's even there.... and his tenacity in keeping the ball alive will open other lanes for other players to fill...

Outside of the crappy defending in the first week, I don't think we could have asked for much more out of this squad heading into the first international break could we?

I mean we're 4-1-0 in all comps and in the CL Group stage, and 2 straight PL clean sheets... I'm happy

So if Barca were to go at 140-160, at what point do we just take it?

Can buy 3-4 top players with that and rely on the current squad until January.

I think that depends on Phil. He has to know his legacy is potentially tarnished because of this, and he sees the kind of performances this team can put in. I think if he still wants to move and doesn't care about all that, sell and build.

If he wants to stay and be a part of a team that can cement his legacy in a positive manner and end up with a statue like he talked about before, tell Barcelona to piss off with their thug negotiation tactics and bounce their asses from the CL.
