I fricking hope those thundercounts get stuffed by Real and they get fricked out of every competition they are in.
I mean I think it says more about the players than it does about Barcelona

Every team in every league tries to better themselves with transfers. By this argument every single transfer in the world is the same.
Shampton have known of our interest forever and VVDs want to leave with an over abundance of time to be able to take our huge freaking offer and buy multiple players to better their team. Shampton also has nothing on the line aside from avoiding relegation.
Barca and Phil are doing this 24 hours before the first game when it will be almost impossible for us to utilize that fee to add enough to offset the loss of Phil. We also have a return to CL and wanting to continue to fight for top four in our sights.
They are completely different.

This doesn't excuse the fact that the window is completely underwhelming at this time and that the team and klopp didn't plan ahead at all. Phil's been linked to Barca for 18 months or more.
When one of your players is linked with Barca or Real you need to in the very least have a plan

Bruh, take a step back. Idc what you say, but VVD is 100x more important to Southampton than Coutinho is to Liverpool. He's miles better than anyone in their side and is the rock of their back line. Idk if Coutinho is even Pool's best player, week in and week out.
I also find this rich as hell coming from someone in the Liverpool thread when you lot have plucked multiple starlets from Southampton by pretty much just announcing interest and leaving Southampton w/ no choice but to cash in because if they don't let their players move then no young talent will want to come there.

You can either decide to tell Coutinho to frick off and play or sulk w/ the reserves for the next year, which will likely all but end any chance of another young South American player going to your club, or you can take the £100 mil, or £90 mil of profit and find another one.

Klopp said: "It's like I said: the club is bigger than anybody. That is the most important thing. It's about doing it in the right moment. It's how we do it when we want to bring players in.
"Most of the other clubs won't come to us and say 'by the way, we have a good player, do you want to buy him?'
"It is about timing. That is how I understand it. And that is all I have to say. Maybe everybody has a price -- in the right moment. In the wrong moment? No price."

he won't rot in the stands... he'll play or go...
I think we force him to stay.. its a WC year, he won't risk that by sulking...
Only other way, is we work out deals for quality replacement(s).. in the back ground.. and Barca ends up paying through the nose 120/130..

Gotta be careful w/ this. Could ruin the entire campaign before it even begins regarding the player's morale.
You can keep him, but the only way that's going to work is if he shuts his mouth and puts his head down and takes care of business.
I have no idea why, I don't know what Coutinho is like in the least, but just looking at his face I just don't think he'd be capable of that.

And Southampton told Liverpool to frick off. Same w/ what Leipzig has done all summer regarding Keita.
Not sure why only Liverpool thinks they can do that, but bitch and moan when someone calls regarding their player.

He isn't going to risk a WC year... Can't see that... I think we just need to call his bluff...
Again, I think he's received terrible advice on how to play this..

If Cou said 3 weeks ago that he needs to go to Barcelona, I would be ok with it. Plenty of time to find a few replacements. 24 hours before the new season? frick that.

Bruh if we were truly worried about morality of decisions and being even handed we'd have joined the clergy. If you haven't noticed we're footy fans here. There's no logic to emotions. You'd have known that if you'd been an actual footie fan but you're citeh so you've probably just known about football for the last 5 years. So take your sanctimonious BS and go worship your middle-eastern overlords.
Rant over.

I think you mean, your overlords. It's been what, eight years since you guys topped City in the table?
Quality username btw

You lot would probably be back singing blue moon and baring your asses in unison in League 2 if not for your middle eastern oil dinars. But hey I don't begrudge you lot anything. Thank god the damn sheiks decided against buying Everton in 2008. The bitters would've been insufferable.
And thanks. I usually don't include citeh when I say mancs. Just don't come around salt bae'ing on my Coutinho shaped wounds.

Big game in the am I think we've hyped on Phil enough. We need to focus on the guys that want to be here and want to win. Whatever happens before September 1st is going to happen whether it's positive or negative. All I know is I'm excited as all hell to see the boys take on watford and get those 3 pts we need to start this campaign for the top 4 again and hopefully a title chase. I'm super curious to see what klopp rolls out with and I hope to hell we get to finally see that Salah and mane pairing I've been drooling about all preseason. I'm calling a 3-1 win with mane and salah both burying some goals. If we can get Salahs confidence high early he's going to be sooo dangerous to watch this year.

Don't act like a bitch. You're better than that and a good usually fair poster. That sounds like something SCH would say. Don't follow that lead.
Liverpool if anything recently is known for identifying guys way early, making their intentions known and then playing cutsy with low offers and standing by while others swoop in at the last minute.
S'hampton has played ball with us on prior players because we offered early and fairly and they were given time to turn those sales around within the same window. None of those sales caused s'hampton to worry about their goals for the season to be diminished. VVD wouldn't have either if they had accepted early or when he asked to go. They don't have to sell. No ones forcing them and the pool fans aren't really mad at s'hampton we are more upset at our own ineptitude. (although we are stumped at RB's willingness to watch Keita leave next year for 20 mil less)
Im not worried about Phil whining. We hold the cards. He wants to play with his friend Neymar in the WC? He needs to play lights out this year. Doesn't matter if that's in Spain or Liverpool. He won't piss and moan for long.
