VVD does NOT lose aerial duels.

FANTASTIC win for playing so sluggishly for much of the match.
IMPORTANT win too.
YNWA!

United did it against Palace a few weeks ago. City had a lot of them early in the year with late winners before they started crushing everyone. Chelsea lived by it last year

P.S. NO APOLOGIES for getting a huge break on the Mane non-call(s).
We get few enough breaks from officiating so frick everybody else with a rusty nail AFAIC.
We should have had 2 penalties awarded for shirts ripped off in the box on VVD and Bobby anyway, so yeah Liverpool “got a break” after being fricked multiple times.

Not to mention there was clear contact on Mane's first yellow... Im okay with it not being a penalty, but I dont think you can card someone for diving if there was contact...

Who is this team that actually finishes 1 goal matches after scoring in the 80th minute?! Especially at Selhurst. VVD is worth every penny and Robbo and Karius are massive upgrades.

Then 95% of penalties are dives... I see what you're saying, but I dont really agree with that line of thinking..
I agree he was looking for a penalty, but I dont think you can give a card for that... I assume the ref believed there was no contact and thats why it was called...
IMO he was wrong, it happens... but the "luck" and bad calls by the ref evened out over the match..

Seeing Mane act like he broke his ankle was embarrassing.

Also with how many times Benteke fricked up 1 on 1's while he was here it was only fair that it continued

No doubt...
He's really a shell of the player he was at Villa...

I'm not a fan of the Mane dive either, he had a chance upon contact but once that moment was gone it looked like he played for Spurs. And speaking of Spurs, we have gotten fricked so many times this year by these a-hole refs that I'm not apologizing for shite.

im just saying most of these guys go down with contact in the box.. he felt it and went down... the ref doesn't have to give the penalty and he didnt.. generally speaking, refs will only give a penalty if someone goes down...
I think yellows should be reserved for those where there is clearly no contact...

Didn't wake up in time to watch it, but yeah we don't win this match in year's past after giving up the early pen (hell not sure we win this one earlier this season).. It's amazing the improvements we've seen defensively in a very very brief time

No definitive word on Dandam Sturllala's knock, but Klopp seems to think its "serious".
