I definitely think we get another CB that will challenge Matip, I think JM will be fine next to VVD but Lovren is gone in the summer and I think Gomez is still a year away from a CB challenge.

Not at all. I understand it’ll probably happen, but with how firm we were, it doesn’t make sense midseason with the way things are going.
I won’t be mad at all if we sell him in the summer and are able to help replace him with Keita and hopefully guys like Goretzka and Lemar, but we probably won’t be able to replace him midseason

I mean, I'd like to progress in UCL and I dont think Coutinho is a must to get past Porto.. I don't expect us to win it, though I think we could be dangerous with our current squad...
I think another top 4 finish is most important... need to keep building on that..
edit: Also, wouldn't we have conveniently rotated him out of the squad today if a deal was done??

I really like our squad right now and would hate to do anything to mess up this season. Like you said, top 4 is a must this year, especially if we want to try and replace him with top tier talent. Hell, we’re not far off second now, but it’s no secret Champions league is a big plus in recruiting players
