Robertson’s impact cannot be undervalued either.

I think he's been very good, but I also think Moreno has been too this season, bar the Sevilla match..

Stolen from twitter:

quote:

So impressed with Robbo, but the anti-Moreno agenda is rooted 100% in opinion and long memories. Moreno better per 90 in:

- Tackles
- Cross completion
- Ball retention
- Fouls committed
- Fouls drawn

Hey, it's nice to not be the first English club eliminated from the UCL this year

Wish Tots had made it through, as I'd much rather play them rather than compact, organized Juve. Oh well.

Meh, we haven't had great results against them this season to be fair... Plus, I'm with Emre Can and want to avoid English sides for as long as possible tbh

Video showing who all touched the ball in the build up to Mane's goal on Saturday (spoiler: basically everyone):

That's so effin' beautiful.

This was posted on the Liverpool Reddit as "Virgil knows we've scored before we've scored".

Also, not Liverpool specific per se, but realizing now as I watch the Flyers how awesome Spring is when all my teams are playing well:

Liverpool in the UCL Quarters and in a top 4 fight

Flyers are 3rd in the Metro division and in the playoffs at this point.

Pelicans are on a 9 game winning streak and somehow a top 4 seed in the playoffs as of today

LSU Basketball under Will Wade looks to be really fun, and are about to start SEC Tournament play.

LSU Baseball is improving and has a crazy potent offense.

I love sports!

Yeah I get it, but I'm willing to see what Dejan can do with a consistent presence by his side... We really haven't seen his trademark mental lapses at all in the last two months (same with Moreno)

I'm fine with AR as #1 LB, I'm just saying Moreno has played pretty good this season... and AR has got passes for things Moreno would have been killed for..

If the reports that Sessegnon really wants LFC are true, I'd be happy to move Moreno on and bring him in..

But I'm content with those 2 at LB..

I consider Dejan and Migs lost causes... time to move on from them...

I'd just love to see how Albie would look as a full-time backup to Sadio on the left wing. I think he has what it takes to play that position well.

I don't trust that he has what it takes to be a consistent defender.

And it would be awesome if Sessegnon picks Liverpool. I know he plays wide for Fulham now on the back-line at RB, but I also read that he's played wide in the midfield as well. Sounds like a valuable tool that Klopp could coach up and insert where needed.

He’s playing pretty much as a left winger full time now

And blowing it up

For a second there I thought you were talking about Albie and I was frightened and confused.

By the way, new rumors (or rumours, as it were) of Lemar being a done deal to Liverpool at this point.

That would not make me unhappy.

Nice article on Robbo...

https://www.espn.com/soccer/club/liverpool/364/blog/post/3411233/andy-robertsons-unusual-career-path-leads-to-acclaim-at-liverpool

quote:

Only the luckiest players can choose their career path, and if they could many might pick a seamless transition from youth team to starting XI. But Robertson's path might be a lesson in how to design a career, the ideal way to create a footballer who learns, proves himself and comes out the other end as a fine player and decent person.

"He's certainly made the right choices in his career," Phelan says. "He waited his time, he learned, got put in the deep end at times and learned while he was playing. I think Liverpool have got him at the right moment. He'll keep progressing if Liverpool keep faith in him."

I wonder if something like that is doable with Albie. I would love for that kid to stay around the team and contribute in some way, if Sess wants us than you have to take and those Lemar rumors just picked up steam here and keep gaining momentum. You add Jorginho and Allison to the spine and maybe Dejan sticks with VVD (gulp). I would still bring in a CB I’m sorry I just can’t do it!!!

Anyone see Eddie Smart crying after the final whistle last night at Wembley? I was looking but didn’t find him.

Is there any doubt he’s going to be team captain in the near future?
