He's taking a break from the USMNT until September 2015 to spend time with his family.

Completely different situations.

Jurgen has already come out and supported Tim's decision.

Last time I checked, we don't play any WC qualifying matches between now and next September.

It's also likely that Howard wouldn't have been called up until next spring or summer anyway.

He should not have a starting spot when he comes back if we are following policy.

I have Zero issues with it btw

He probably won't.

It's Guzan's time now.

I was actually expecting Tim to retire from the international game soon.

I don't know why he would be called up anyways, unless he just really wants those 60 more games to be the most capped USMNT player.
Guzan has waited his turn, and it's time to let Cody Cropper start getting some time.

Some huge differences here. Announcing a return date and discussing it with Jurgen in advance both making a huge difference. Anyone too stupid to see that, I can't help.

I doubt he'll be better, but he will be equal to him.

He won't be better than or as good as Timmy. But he's got enough quality to where we really won't notice a difference.

To be fair, Donovan did discuss his leaving with JK as well as the Galaxy. He didn't just wake up one day and sneak off to Cambodia without telling anybody.
