Who do you think will start at striker? Wondo or johannsson? I think wondo deserves a chance because johannsson was not very impressive last night

No, he does not. Shouldn't have even been called into the 30 (unless Jurgy needed to give him some sort of reward).

Agreed. Portugal would be a different matchup for Johannsson than Ghana was. I hope Jurgen gives him a start playing in front of Deuce. I feel like they could make something happen against Alves and whoever fills in for Pepe.

Aron was tossed into a situation that requires both mental and physical preparation, which he did not have. He is a very good player and will do better if he gets decent service, which he did not get last night.

basically jozy at sunderland. Aron will do better against portugal. Don't be shocked to see Wondo sub in for Aron late in the game.

I'd rather see Green come in for Aron than Wondo.

If we are having success in Portugal's box and are pulling off shots, I would prefer Wondo come in solely for his poach factor.

On the radio, during halftime of the Mexico Brazil game, it was mentioned the Portugal will be without 4 of its starting players.

I certainly hope the US can take advantage of that.

I could be wrong, but I feel like many responders are putting Germany, and even Portugal, on a bigger pedestal than they deserve.

We have a shot at both. Definitely Portugal. I think we get something out of that game.

Our team is better at a lot of the little things than it was in '10, and I can't wait to see it come to fruition.

I think there is a good chance that Ghana beats Portugal. They look like the better side to me. Also good chance the U.S. loses to Portugal. Germany is a cinch to go 3-0 in this group. So if it goes the way I think it will, the U.S or Ghana will advance on point differential over Portugal. Ghana is clearly the second strongest team in this group. U.S really needs things to go it's way once again to get a point or three against Portugal.
