AS reports he´s reached a verbal agreement with Real Madrid.

Chelsea has already refused an Atlético offer for the goalkeeper, and expects him in London this coming June.

Real Madrid will try to negotiate a transfer this summer for him. Should this not come to fruition, Courtois has already said he will become a Blanco in June of 2016, on a free (his contract expires, and he will not renew).

A. My guess is that this is bullshite

B. Chelsea letting him go would be the worst move in the club's history.

C. Unless they boot Cech, or sit him on the bench, Courtois will NOT got to London. He´s said this a million times (he will ONLY go if he´s the starter).

So what if Courtois doesn't become Chelsea's starter in 2014-15, and he decides to leave on a free for RM at the end of the 2015-16 season? What will he do for the next two seasons?

Make life miserable for them, so that they must negotiate.

This is why the contract system in Europe is a joke. You signed the paper, play the damned game.

Exactly.

I signed a promise to play for (Insert # of years). Basically, I'll go ahead and do that unless I don't want to. Then I won't.

Well it's not like there is a real penalty for ignoring your contract.

Many continental players of great promise normally have a ´Real Madrid clause´ (meaning they can break their contract, if Real Madrid expresses an interest in them). I don´t know why he didn´t have one in his Chelsea contract.

Chelsea and Atlético de Madrid dug up Courtois in some small Flanders town, and Atléti couldn´t meet Chelsea´s offer. Courtois and his people were impressed with Atlético, and asked that he be loaned out there (as opposed to an English side, which was Chelsea´s plan).

I think he loves Spain (something he probably didn´t originally envision), and damned sure sees a great opportunity at Real.

Hang out with Hilario and Schwarzer unless he wants Chelsea to drop the Hitzlsperger on him.

It would if European judges gave a damn about capitalism and big business.

How much money does Adrian Mutu owe Chelsea right now?

If Courtois turns into a cancer, he's just going to end up training with the youth team.

Cute gif.

Now explain to me how a player can get away with breaking a contract with little to no compensatory damages.

But do they ever really break the contract or just convince the club to sell?

I'd use the term "coerce" or "force" the club to sell. Chelsea have absolutely no leverage in the situation. If there were adequate legal remedies they wouldn't need to worry about selling this whiney little twat.

your comment Bleed, was pretty icknerrent. You´re a scouser, why are you so upset about this Courtois situation?

I have no idea how his contract is written, however, the transfer fee will compensate them.
