Two most important players: Dolo and Johnson. 2-0 Yanks.

Who are you calling these?

I was going to do things after I got out of school today. I bought a six pack of Lagunitas IPA and a bottle of wine in preparation for the game, instead.

Yeah, but I don't want people to have to scroll over. That pic isn't even that big.

I'm having a disturbingly hard time coming up with a lineup I like.

Dolo-Cameron-Boca-Johnson

Jones-Williams-Torres

Shea-----------Dempsey

Jozy or Gomez

in some sort of 4-3-3, but its a bit fricked up with Shea on the right. He can do that but it'd be more about cutting inside than it would be about width if he was on the left, which we could use. Dempsey never plays on the right so its pointless to think about something that almost certainly isn't happening.

Or 4-2-3-1 with Dempsey in the middle, Shea on the left, and Torres (who the frick else? Williams?) on the right. I kind of want Torres in the middle though. Not that he's been consistently good or anything for the national team but I do not want to see that 3 man midfield we saw Friday.

2-1.

What I'd do is a 4-2-3-1 with Jones and Williams holding and Dempsey behind Altidore. Shea on the left and Zusi, Corona, or Gomez on the right.

I'm sure this is what we'll go with.

What Klinsmann still hasn't figured out is that the Caribbean nations play pretty much straight up. No cuteness, no Central American bullshite, no short, quick passes.... they just try to "out physical" you (T&T) or outrun you (Jamaica).

Bob Bradley's "empty bucket" with two DMs and two wingers (Shea & Beasley, perhaps... even shittier versions like Robbie Rogers and Brad Davis), with Jozy and Dempsey up to would be fine.

Of course, we have no width and 13 DMs on the roster, so Jurgen will have to "cute" his way out of it.

Again.... if a fan like me knows this, why doesn't ONE frickING PERSON in the entirety of US Soccer know this?

We've picked up good results with bad player combinations and tactics, and we're worse off for it.

We beat Mexico because Michael Orozco-Fiscal was completely out of position, and because we bunkered. We beat Italy because we bunkered and had one moment of brilliance. Jurgen apparently has no eye for ability, for chemistry, and bases callups on anecdotal results.

Dolo-Goodson-boca-Johnson
------------Cameron-------------
Jones--------------------Torres
-------------Dempsey------------
---altidore------Boyd------------

Shea and zusi sub in for Torres and jones.
Gomez or wondo sub for whichever striker looks lazy

Eta: possibly change out zusi with Torres for the starting lineup and maybe Boyd for the mls striker. And let Torres, Shea and boyd be subs

I kind of forgot about Corona and Zusi is another option on the right. We have no good options on the right without Donovan, just some that are worse than others.

The 4-2-3-1 with Shea on the left and some random guy on the right is the closest thing to Bob's empty bucket that we'd play, because even if you put Dempsey up top as part of a strike partnership he'd inevitably withdraw and end up playing in the hole behind the main striker.

I'm usually in the Shea as a super sub camp, but I think we just need something totally different after Friday.
