What is the significance of a win here for the U.S.? Other than just advancing in this tournament? Does this have any bearing on future tournaments ?

Oh well, we controlled possession. They didn't have very many opportunities. Get Landy Cakes on in the second half and it will be 2-0 to the good guys. Or we could bring in Adu for his off the bench hatty!!!

Early on. Panama had the last 20 minutes by a much larger margin than we had the first 25.

FIRST HALF THOUGHTS
I'm not mad. I would like to see more possession in Panama's half, and a few more scoring opportunities... But hey, at least we aren't down 0-1!!
I like Bedoya. I really do. I think he has done well today. But unless he can be an effective CAM I think you have to sub him out for Donovan NOW. I haven't been thrilled with Sacha at this point, but I think bringing in Donovan can help his creativity.
The backline has been as solid as you could want. Nothing upsetting there. Lichaj has been a revelation.
I feel good. I think we're about to score a couple.
