Gaaah...should have realized that.

But he won't have any first team manager experience, right? So isn't Stevie G. a more attractive option at that point?

He left us a few years ago to coach in the Netherlands second division (NEC) and got sacked after a 1/2 season and no promotion... We took him back..

And you're saying this is a plus to choose him over Stevie?

No... Im not sure I would take him over Stevie at this point, but he is very highly thought of it, it seems... I'll trust the folks that are in the know to make that call...

Once Buvac left, Pep became Klopp's right hand and has vastly improved since that point. He's been very highly rated, and the players seem to love him. It was his idea to sign Jota and Klopp decided to trust his decision making and take that gamble. It's paid off so far.

I would only rather Pep because he's had so much first hand learning under Klopp and is apparently trusted to work independently with the boys and in the transfer boardroom. Maybe I'm fantasizing about a modern day Boot Room situation, but whatever I'm enjoying fantasy land.

Apparently Keita has been looking every bit the player we thought he was. Now if only he could string >5 matches in a row without an injury

Well he’s gonna get his chance at the start of the season assuming our normal 3 starters in Fab Thiago and Hendo won’t be match fit yet

I guess MAYBE Thiago as he reported to camp yesterday but I’d expect to see Milly Keita and Jones start against Brentford

If Keita stays healthy he's fantastic. The problem is he doesn't stay healthy long enough to get any rhythm.

We can’t bring anyone in until we sell Shaq and/or Origi unfortunately

FIFY

Also, Coutinho is apparently a possibility if we can offload one of those two.

Can’t is the correct word. It’s related the limits of foreign players.

Didn’t realize that was a thing, but do now. Thanks.

Apologies 5 Deep!

Robbo off injured today. Hard roll of the ankle. Looked rough and needed help walking off.

Silver Lining: Tsimikas has been in good form this preseason.
