I hate Barca and Man U, but I would by far want United to lose in the final if I had to choose.

All the people that are bitching about barca, you do realize that there are two teams out there and Real are just as bad.

everyone knows this. however, real madrid is not billed as the ULTIMATE SAVIOR OF WORLD SOCCER. THE TEAM THAT PLAYS SOCCER THE RIGHT WAY AND ALLOWS UNICEF TO ADVERTISE ON THEIR JERSEYS EVEN THOUGH EVERYONE ALREADY KNOWS ABOUT UNICEF THROUGH HALLOWEEN.

everyone knows that real madrid is despicable. jose mourinho is a complete dick in press conferences, and ronaldo is too busy jerking off to a picture of himself to even hold a press conference.

barcelona has this weird arrogance about them that i can only speculate about. it's like when arsene wenger goes on his yearly ryan shawcross rant, and then, one of his players goes and kicks the shite out of someone the next week. it doesn't bother anyone that they do it. it's this, "frick you, 'anti-footballists.'" and then going out and playing "anti-football" the next week.

it's not always barcelona's fault, either. it's the way that people and the press treat barcelona. it's annoying, and yes, i am mad.

I think it stems from that cork soaker they have in Pep. Yes, Jose is bad but Pep takes douchebaggery to an all time high with his smug idgaf attitude. Really rubs me the wrong way.

EXACTLY!!!!!

I watch a lot of Serie A which gets criticized a lot fro diving and simulation but in one match I see Barca's players simulate injuies especially getting hit in the face to try get a cheap red card--the most annoying of all offenses to me-- as much as I've seen in every Serie A match this year combined.

Again, the regrettable thing is they are so talented but again the play that determined the outcome today was Alves faking an injury to get a cheap red card, assisted by Busquets' setting it up by falling to ground clutching his face any time someone came within 5 feet of him.

I just hate them by virtue of being an Arsenal fan.

edit: @ESPNSoccernet UEFA have banned all players and both managers from talking to the media right now. Unprecedented.

Once again I agree. All I'm saying is if your are just going to complain about Alves look on the other side of the fricking ball. Both teams were diving like left and right. Madrid was doing the same damn thing

I think some of Barcas theatrics were over the top today, however, I think every footballer on the planet would have reacted the same way Alves did to Pepe's foul...he got him in the shin...that being said, I think it shouldve been a yellow...

I completely agree. Just annoying that everyone decides to jump all over that fact when Real is diving as well.

No one is doubt that real dives. Every team has players that do that. Just saying the theatrics today were disgusting. Twice busquets pretended to be hit in the face. Alves, pedro, hell even villa were rolling around. It ruined it for me. Play was stopped every 30 seconds for a bunch of bullshite.

Exactly my thoughts wm. I watch a lot of Serie A too, yet it seems to get this bad rep for being a league of pussies while the almighty La Liga gets shamelessly praised by everyone, including Blatter and Platini, for playing the game "the right way".

Barca and Real Madrid are capable of playing some beautiful soccer, but they soil it by flailing around like a bunch of paper dolls and then pleading for cards like they think the refs owe them.

Glad I didn't watch the match based on the comments here and on Twitter. Sounds like me watching the Pepe red card and Messi goal highlights was the only things I needed to see.

Actually, I lied. Also watched the video of Jose telling the 4th official "Well done."

How ridiculous is it that managers get "sent off" up into the stands? I remember the absolute joke it was when Wenger had to climb up into the stands that one match (was it vs ManU?) and today it looked like Jose was in timeout with all those security people in yellow bibs surrounding him. Why not just send them to the dressing room like anyone else? Less unnecessary shaming.

How are these guys going to play in Euro qualifiers together this summer? It seems like the Spaniards hate each other. I'm sure it was there before, but this 4 match series seems to have exacerbated it.

of course, he very well could have just forgotten about it
