I don't think the tactics were that bad to be honest. If Dave doesn't get injured Frank goes to a back four. When Dave went off, it meant Frank had to either ride it out or go back four with Alonso as a regular LB and only two CBs who are both not great. Then we give up a billion goals. When they got the second, Frank would risk it, but then Kovacic got sent off. He essentially was trapped.

I just don't think Fat Frank is the right man for the Chelsea job.

This is the equivalent to if Liverpool were to hire Stevie G instead of Klopp. A few more years with Derby wouldn't of hurt his coaching development. Aiming for top 4 is probably his ceiling.. anything more than that just doesnt seem realistic.
