Ya. Last year.

He was more tucked inside than he was in the 4-3-3, where he was a true winger. He had something like 30 assists between 2009 and 2012, production that would make people cream their pants if it was Ozil or Alexis.

I don't understand why we would sell Mustafi or Gab or Gibbs. I feel like we have barely enough players to take on one competition let alone four.

Hoping for the best tom. It could be worse, could be a palace fan.

No Lacazette or Kolansanic in the starting 11. Arsene is trolling us hard.

This lineup is ridiculous. No Lacazette? Bellerin at LWB over Kolasinac?
Also, sell ox now. I'll miss his decent game every blue moon.

That's just unacceptable unless there are injuries we are unaware of.

Age is catching up with Cech.

Arsene could have anticipated this, but of course he ignored it.

Not starting Lacazette because, per Arsene, he's in "adaptation mode."

How fricking stupid is that?

Well we won't have to wait until January for our annual collapse. This year we did it in August.

Yeah. August is a lot better than November or later, saves a lot of heartache

We really need to move to a 4-3-3 now, put Nacho & Hector in their normal positions with 2 CBs.
Xhaka-Coq sit deeper as 2 DM and either Ox or Ozil be the attacking midfielder.
Throw the other one to the right wing and just go at it ffs.

The frustrating thing is that it's all too predictable. Same thing time and time again.

We could've let Wenger go after the 14 FA Cup and hired Klopp or Pep. Instead we are where we fricking are.

I've been following Arsenal closely since, I guess, 2012-13. I just don't know how some of you have been able to withstand a decade or more of this repetitive cycle.

Don't get me wrong. I'll watch every match. I'll hope against hope we get it right and make a run. But I'll inevitably remember after a loss at Stoke or an early exit from, well, not CL, so Europa, I guess, or a 4-0 Boxing day defeat at some recently promoted side, that it's the same shite, year in, year out with Arsene.

I really, really want to see him go out on a high. I really, really fear that he missed the chance after the 2014 FA Cup.

This shite with four fullbacks in a five-man defense is just laughable. The tactical naivety with which we continue to play with exceeds comprehension. The back 3 was a temporary patch (LINK /) and now we're back to square one.

I hope I can come back and read this post in May and laugh at my pessimism but I'll be shocked if we can mount any sort of title run, and I'm fairly sure we're going to have to battle our asses off just to get back in the top 4.

Can't believe I thought we would have a crack at top 4. Lol.
