I think he's def a player we could use. I really like his positioning and hopefully with a new manager we can set up better defensively.
Even though they have the two up top, I've always loved how Uruguay defends.

looks like a new deal with ramsey is gonna get done.

It is imperative that he signs a new deal. Great news for him and Arsenal.

I'm really liking our direction so far.
Xhaka, Ramsey, AMN and Elneny getting extensions, bring in a guy like torreira and or banega. Could have a solid central midfield there. And lets Ramsey play up higher and get his double digit goals.

Ozil-Auba-Mkhitaryan
Ramsey-Xhaka
Torreira
Monreal/Kolasinac-Sokratis-Mustafi-Bellerin

He plays a 4-2-3-1 right?
My preferred lineup in that formation would be:
Lacazette
Auba—Ramsey—Özil/Mkhi
Xhaka—Torreira
Monreal—Sokratis-Chambers—Bellerin
Leno

That is a great attacking side.

At this point, I'd give Chambers and Holding a shot before Mustafi. Even if Mustafi is better, his fricking face just infuriates me. That whiny, pleading face he makes to a ref after making an awful attempt at a slide tackle is the one I'm referring to.

I honestly don't know. Some guys aren't going to play as much as they like. But it's a good problem to have if we go deep in the tournaments.

Calum Chambers will today sign a new 4yr contract with Arsenal to keep him there until 2022. Only signed 2yr extension in Oct 2017 that tied him down until 2021 but new head coach Unai Emery sees huge potential in 23yo + wants him to compete for starting berth at centre-back #AFC

Great news. Cherry on top is Fellaini resigns with Man U

Well that is a welcome sign that they have a lot of faith in Chambers. It'd be great if he and Holding became a solid duo for years to come.

Players released by Arsenal this summer:
Marc Bola
Santi Cazorla
Alex Crean
Vlad Dragomir
Aaron Eyoma
Yassin Fortune
Ryan Huddart
Chiori Johnson
Hugo Keto
Per Mertesacker
Tafari Moore
Jack Wilshere
Personally, can't understand why would they release Vlad Dragomir when he used to be mentioned as a great potential and one for the future. I used to watch videos of him and you can see there that he can be a great player such as Ozil. Great technique, great passer, good vision, what else? In my opinion, this is a big mistake.

Just saw that. Just watch the defensive work he does. I tried to just watch him last game and you notice the little things.

That bicycle kick tho. On another note what is Ozils status with the team? I haven’t heard Emiry comment anything on him. Wasn’t listed as an “untouchable”.

We should be ridiculously good with that lineup. I think we should challenge next year.

On ozil... No one is going to take that contract on. Even though he is getting un fair criticism from this cup.
Unai needs to fit these players in. And I think he will depending on opponent, home vs away.
We need to unload welbeck or Perez, guys like that. Unless we have more money than what is reported.

Geezus we have a player on our hands. Torreira is a wall.

I wanted us to sign Suarez from Ajax, but I just never liked Uruguay because of his biting.
I can appreciate the way they play D. Yeah on the goal, both CBS went for the ball, but damn those guys put it on the line.
And they have a tiny arse country with what? Two trophies?
Even though I picked France, I could see Brazil v Uruguay in the semis based on these teams bring able to play D.
