Hm. Lateral move I suppose? Better exposure in Serie A, but Juve are a dumpster fire with a boring coach.

Sounds like United stepping up their effort to sign Onana- from everything I’ve seen I expect it to get done

Wonder where DDG goes. They did him wrong although they will be upgrading ao I doubt United fans care

I saw he was linked with Fenerhabace or however you spell it. Kinda surprised Saudi hasn’t come in for him

This is so strange. Fenerbahce has plenty of holes in their lineup, and obviously we’ve lost some great players in the last few years (Kim Min Jae, Elif Elmas, Vedat Muriqi, and now Enner Valencia and likely Arda Guler).

But Altay is young, consistent, causes no problems off the field, is good but not too good (something that is important when you’re in the Turkish League) and he is a domestic player if they ever implement more stringent rules on foreigners in the league.

Why would we ever want to replace him?

Please ignore my post if Man U actually transfers him, but I don’t think he is a Man U level player.

It is frustrating to have this level of talent walk through the door but mostly not at the same time, and all we have to show for it is one Cup win.

He’s really scrawny and can only play 55-60 minutes of high level soccer even in the Turkish league

He is a great passer and was setting up Batshuayi and Enner Valencia with incredible opportunities.

He doesn’t get fouled a ton like Pulisic because he can get rid of the ball quickly. But he really does have a very average physique, especially compared to some of these young Real Madrid guys who can play 45 games at 75-90 minutes each, and those guys are only 1-2 years older than him.

I know you can never have too much depth and also that Modric is gone after this year but seems like Madrid has a ton of talented guys in mf that surely won’t get a ton of playing time

Are they gonna really be able to keep all of Tchouameni/valverde/camavinga long term? One of those is surely gonna be left out right?

Valverde can be played at RW - no Asensio so lacking a bit of depth, and Ancelotti persisted with Camavinga at LB even when exposed in the CL so I think there is enough flex for them all to get on the pitch alot of not necessarily always at CM.

Kroos and Modric will be out by 2025, right?

Assensio is gone, Benzema will finally get to fulfill his lifelong goal of playing in a Muslim country , and that’s basically the end of the old guard.

If Madrid adds no one else and keeps Tchouameni, Valverde, Camavinga, Bellingham, Guler, Vini Jr, Rodrygo, and whoever their striker is (assuming Mbappe), that is 8 premier guys for 6 spots. Imo, Guler will play with the forwards. So 3 will start in midfield, 3 will start in attack, and the other two will play 25-30 minutes a game.

Then you have a variety of guys who will be comfortable as depth pieces.

I think it will work, unless Madrid keeps adding 2-3 more superstars or highly regarded youngsters at each position every year

This youthful Madrid core could be really excellent.
