The only thing I don't like about the Spanish is the anti-American sentiment I experienced over there citing our imperialism, yet they are quick to boast about their former empire.

The only difference with the Dutch is that they think they are better than everyone else, including Americans. This World Cup in being held in the former Dutch empire.

Kicking someone with your cleats in the chest is never excusable man. That's an extremely dangerous play for a fricking highschool game.

Your friend sounds like a P***Y. There are other ways to get him back without assaulting the dude.

It was because that was supposed to be a pass from Netherlands back to Spain since the goalie threw it out in the first place because Puyols was hurt.

It's just the gentlemen's rule in soccer.

You are probably right, but I didn't really experience that when I was in Amsterdam. I had a blast there and enjoyed the people.

As for thinking they are above Americans, no one compares to the Swiss. Yet if I could live anywhere in the world it would be Lausanne, Switzerland!

Heitinga. It came off a stoppage in play for an injury. Usually the team that has the injury kicks the ball out and the opposition gives it back to them. Since that kickin caused a corner, the Netherlands did the right thing and gave it straight away to the Spanish.

i guess it was just the way he played it to casillas that through me off. normally they just put it on the ground to the keeper at the edge of the box
