He doesn’t sound happy about it

I wasn't happy and I wanted to leave. I have not been allowed this in any way and I will STAY at the club so as not to get into a legal dispute. The management of the club led by Bartomeu is a disaster

Call me crazy but I’ll be a little pissed if we let him come next year.

I honestly wouldn’t see the need too. Spend that money on young elite talent where it will benefit in the long run.

cant blame messi for not coming to city. Not easy to just leave the spot light and be the 2nd best player on a team.

Amazing. He's the best playmaker in the world, and has played 3 different roles for Barca the last 5 years, with people barely acknowledging his other roles. No other player in the world can do that.

There is no elite young talent that comes close. Man City could, conceivably, do both as well.

Why doesn’t Barcelona now try to move him? Get all the cash they can. It’s pretty obvious he’s gonna be cancer this year and then he’s walking for free.

Nobody wants or can afford that 700 million release clause. If I was Barca, I would lower the amount to at least half and also ask for a player in return.

Barca should take 150 mil or whatever, and rebuild the team with a clear goal in mind of how they want to play. Return to the 4-3-3 or move to the 4-2-3-1. They basically made patchwork moves, which forced Messi to play further away from goal, which hasn't really limited his production, but has hampered the team.

Thats what I'm saying. They don't have to charge 700. Just go to the highest bidder and be done with it.
