I only joined Tiger Droppings, a little over 2 years ago, because a friend (JW) told me that they added a World Cup board (at the time).

Really the only outlet I have to talk football with other people and it's a bonus that there are a handful of passionate LFC fans on here, too.

I think I was on here a year before I ventured to the other boards...

Try to dig up an old pre-SB soccer thread on the MSB, and read its contents. I will let that be my answer.

I lurk more than anything, but when I do post, the subjects are soccer, beer, bourbon, and Game of Thrones. Over half of my posts are soccer related and I only venture over to the OT when I'm looking to laugh at something that is probably more idiotic than I can describe.

What does the soccer board mean to me? It's a refuge from the exceedingly boring 8 - 10 hours a day that I spend at work. I use to feel that I was somewhat knowledgeable about the sport but I've learned tons from the soccer board. Because of this board I'm now a member of the Baton Rouge chapter of AO. I don't make nearly as many matches as I would like, but I've had a good time each time I made it to the londoner.

So many of the guys posting in this thread I now consider FRIENDS, not just posters. This is a great forum and it is the first thing I check each and every morning. So many are devoted to the sport we all love. TOTAL HOMO, by the way.

This is the only board on TD that I enjoy. All of the LSU rantards are completely delusional, and although I only post from time to time I really enjoy reading what's going on.
This is the only board with quality posts and good guys/gals mixed in with some friendly banter.

Furthermore, the people on the Board are both respectful and intelligent. When a new poster comes to the Board, we all go out of our way to explain the game as well as we possibly can to the newcomer (as long as he isn't Mexican) and dont chastise them because of their lack of an e-peen. Additionally, the regular posters on the Board are humble about their soccer knowledge and never fail to admit when they are wrong or don't know the answer to a question.

This. The humbleness of the posters here is simply amazing for an internet forum. We are nice to new guys who just come in and say, "I don't know something. Help me." At this point, I would be disappointed if we weren't.

I'm really looking forward to it. Although I'll be honest, I'll probably be nervous as hell meeting you guys for the first time. Aww gorsh.

I wonder how people on this board are in real life compared to their personalities on the SB. At this point I can't imagine Hendo as anything other than a large, intimidating, not-afraid-to-get-in-your-face black man. The avatar might have something to do with that black guy part.

You missed his US post for the 2010 WC.

I am what I am. That is confirmed. So are every other posters I have met. No reason to be nervous at all.

Do tell

The SB is a cool group. I don't know if nervous is the right word or it would be better to say "first date jitters."

By far the best board. It's not even close. Thanks to this board, I'm trying to figure out whether to join the Baton Rouge or Laffy AO. I'm two hours from each.
