If this guy isn't holding a high position in the USSF in the next 5 years we are doing it wrong. I would be very happy with him being the technical director or even being Sunil's successor after just listening to him talk about youth development for 30 minutes.
Pretty good listen if you haven't done so yet

I have been wanting him to be our technical director for years now.

On top of his experience in Holland, now with the academy he has started in Philly he seems to have all the tools necessary for the job

What's he up to now? He was the technical director at AZ alkmaar when Jozy and Aron were there.

IIRC he's at Philadelphia Union now

Yes he is the sporting director at the Union. Has started a from what I gather a very Euro type academy there where the kids practice in the morning, go to school, and practice again afterwards. Says he has kids there from all types of backgrounds and isn't just for the middle to upper class

Awesome. Thats exactly what we need. We need to clone Ernie, put him at all of the MLS clubs, and then of course, grow the young Ernie clones to play for the MNT.

He's done a great job in Philadelphia in the short time that he has been there. Completely turned the club around.
If we could replace Gulati and Jurgy with guys like Stewart and Pareja we would have a massive upgrade.
