I´m very worried.
We´ve never had bonafide world killer strikers (sorry, David Villa), and it´s not like I see Costa as the panacea, but I think he´s very, very important.
I think Del Bosque wants to make this side vertical and direct. They won´t be so, without Costa.
I haven´t seen LLorente play this season (well, maybe four matches), and I´d like to know what you think of him.
I was very high on him in 2010, but have no idea who he is now.

On second thought, Roque Junior starting may be more ridiculous than Elano.

He's been fantastic for Juve after he got off to a bit of a slow start adapting to the tactics/different styles of defending.
However, I would say that he represents an even more dramatic shift for Spain than putting Costa up front in terms of meshing with Iniesta, Silva etc. . .
Llorente isn't bad with his feet but playing intricate back and forths is certainly not his strength. He needs runners off his hold up play as he's excellent at picking out good passes.
Where he was most effective for Juve -- in addition of course to fighting in the box to finish off scraps -- was setting up Tevez as support striker and picking out passes to Juve's wing players (Lichtsteiner and Asamoah) who are players that don't ask for the ball at their feet and tirelessly make runs into the box.

He´s still the same, I see.
I don´t know what Del Bosque will do.
I don´t think Çesc as a false nine is going to do it this time around.
Negredo is great, but not WC great. He´s WC average.
Damn. Costa isn´t the absolute panacea either, but he´s something we can work with (moresoe than LLorente).
Villa would be a parody of himself.
shite. Mierda. I don´t know. I´m concerned.

So long, heyday of the soccer board, when people were for the most part civil to each other.
That Soccer Board died at the end of this week. As we observe Memorial Day tomorrow, keep our beloved Soccer Board in mind.

Spain should just say "frick it" and come out in a 0-10-0.
