So, I grew up in Louisiana and knew nothing of soccer growing up in Ruston

In fact, we were losing a football game to a team from Shreveport and at halftime, my head coach pointed out that the other team had boy cheerleaders and they played soccer here and he was embarrassed that we were losing. Of course, we came out in the second half and destroyed the team with vigor! That being said, both of my sons have fallen in love with ‘the beautiful game.’ I have become a connoisseur and was watching champions league this past week and was completely floored by that incredible assist by Luka Modric against Chelsea. Here’s a link if you did not get a chance to see it. The dime that he dropped could not have been thrown by a quarterback any better. It is insane that he use the outside of his right foot to create that beautiful score!

Additionally, my youngest son will be playing Division I soccer this fall. He would’ve loved to have gone to LSU but sadly, no men’s soccer! Fortunately, his school has no football team so he will continue to bleed purple and gold throughout his college years.

that little peek he took before receiving the ball told you everything you need to know. that ball was in the back of the net before he ever even touched the ball. what a wonderful, wonderful player. sad he’s getting old

Yup…he knew exactly where he was going with it as soon as he received it!

Welcome to the best game. Yeah not every game is great but that’s true even in all of American sports on any given weekend.
The skill it takes at that level to create and score makes it everything and that much more exiting.

Nice. My son was heading that route but switched it up to kick footballs. You going to get to watch him play?
